Condolence to people who lost their lives in the fire, to people who lost everything. It's just started to rain a bit here...mother nature please have mercy on us and give us more rain. edit; I'm sorry. It's been flooding in QLD Was a selfish thing to wish. Apologies to Queenslanders. It's been so hot I'm going mad.
I thought the bushfires a few years back were bad, I could see the fire from my local pool. But this...
Well I hope the fires get put out soon before more lives & Property are lost. It's winter here (USA: California) but it has been unusually warm though (highs around 70ºF last month) so hopefully mother nature will either bring you guys some cooler weather and/or some rain soon...
That sucks. Hope that the fires are out soon (if they aren't already) Same here in NC. It's been pretty hot these past few days
It's tragic. Fire is horrific. And the worst part is how they are often deliberately lit. They've put out some warnings for this week about the possibility of fires in my area. Gaaaaah.
I live in the state but I wasn't near the bushfires, but by God...it's really horrific what happened, on Monday you could still smell the smoke from the other bushfires burning out of control. The images on the news that creeped me out the most wasn't the raging inferno itself but the aftermath where you saw burnt out vehicles, houses reduced to rubble and trees turned to skeleton-like figures. I send my condolences to everyone who was affected by the worst ever bushfire in Australia's history. R.I.P to all who did not make it out alive (including Brian Naylor and his wife)
well i was on standby on Saturday night as the smoke came over the town, and Sunday night i was on a strike team. thanks to work screwing me around and such, i kinda missed out going out again today (being a member of the CFA i just wanted to get out there and help any way i could) now i am thinking about donating money to help out those that lost homes.
...really? That's about as sensitive as hearing about the 2004 Tsunami and then pulling your eyelids tights and going "CHING CHONG OH NO WATER EVERYWHERE."
Man. I heard on CNN of people being burned alive in cars trying to escape? I just can't put into words how badly I feel for everyone over there.
My support and sympathy go out to all the people of Victoria, along with the earnest hope that they successfully make it through this dark hour.
