Bit of a no-brainer this, I got a spare Inferno from fellow board member Cashanova, picked up a '07 Movie Mudlap from Toys R Us in a battered box for £7.50 and figured, I had to do this. Even though with the imminent Botcon Pyro I'll have three of this mold chewing up shelf space. Oh well.

The first issue is the scale issue between Infernos cap section and Mudflaps crane cab section. I figure the easiest way around this is to black out or severally darken the windows, a fire engine this size should seat 3-4 in the front, not two so that makes the sections a similar size. Right? Or am I over thinking things, its not like most TF figures pay attention to scale haha.

The crane section will be attached to his arm much like the cannon on Inferno is, but will also be detachable and attach to the little black panel that covers the back of Inferno, enabling the crane to be displayed over the shoulder for a more contemporary look or twist around for a more G1 style display, as pictured. I plan to use donor parts from the wing sections of an Animated Blitzwing (see other WIPS) to attach the crane to aforementioned black back panel.

Question though, should Grapple be yellow, or Orange?

Awesome work. :)  I don't think scale is really an issue.

I am also in love with your avatar. :)

Using a tiny attachment from the wings of an animated blitzwing. I think a blend of orange and yellow is the way to go.

I bought an extra Inferno just for this type of project, but could never settle on what to use for the crane arm.

Great idea to use the mudflap crane. Well done!
