    A Very Detailed MT Giant Bonecrusher & Scavenger Picture Review (botmode, size, etc.)

    An ACTOYs forum member 'ac 小黑' recently has happened to have his hands on samples of two Maketoy Constructicons toys: Bonecusher and Scavenger. He was kind enough to take some pictures that gave us all the details we might need to know about the toys and send to Actoys forum; plus a brief text review on both toys.

    I re post those pictures here as well as have translated part of his review including points I picked up

    ac

    First, all accessories are absent from the toys since they are samples.

    In vehicle mode

    In his option, the yellow paint of the toys actually made them look very close to the vehicles they were supposed to represent in the real life;

    Bottom of both vehicles looks concise and neat, and nicely integrated as a whole;

    Not too much revealing on their 'bot mechanism' when in vehicle mode

    the paint job looks fantastic and it brings out all the subtle details

    MT Scavengy vs TFC Exgraver, TFC's has a couple more Hydraulic cylinders on his steam shovel arm. Also, MT's shovel arm can only move forward and backward, not capable of left to right movement or vice versa;

    MT Bonecrusher vs TFC NB, MT's doesn't have actual functioning plow hydralic cylinders like did NB; and the movebility/posibility of MT's plow is very limited;

    In bot mode (not as great looking as in their vehicle mode in average)

    Transformation complexity of both MT constructicons are quite similar to Hasbro's deluxe's, at level 2, intermediate. Movebilty of both toys' heads are pretty limited. Ball joints for their knees and each foot has two contact points to the ground, which provide a pretty good posibility for both, however the design of their legs are identical to each other. They both have a big and visible 'backpack' on their rears when in bot mode.

    In reviewer's option, Bonecrusher looks slightly better than Scavengy in bot mode due to that his waist features a double sword looking design

    I love it,
    Now MORE!!!

    Not feeling Bonecrusher's head as far as the way it sits, but it does look like they got the connector ports moved a bit so they dont stick straight out the back.

    Is it just me or do these look more Autobot in design then Decepticon? The blue visor on Bonecrusher and the big round eyes on Scavenger really have an Autobot feel to them.

    Nice looking alt mode but bot mode just does not look constructicons. I will stick with Hercules.

    Indeed. Coupled with their very generic proportions and overal design these are deffinately the weakest from what I can tell.

    i wonder if the lettering on them is a hint at their classic names..."BR" = Bonecrusher? "SC" = Scavenger?

    ^Shouldn't Bonecrusher be "BC" then?

    Nice, but I'll stick to TFC Toys.

    Giant as a whole looks great in Gestalt, but these individual bot modes look like Dollar store KOs.

    hmm, I dont understand how the forearms attach in gestalt mode, any ideas? i see the one port at the front of the excavator, but then where is the shoulder port to connect to hook?

    edit*
    so the forearms attach to those ports, there must be another set of ports for the shoulder?

    If you look closely, that's not "SC," it's "SG."

    My guess is "Second Generation 1991"
