I've been wanting a G1 Prime/Convoy for a little bit now, but I really don't know what would be the best variation to get. I'm a sucker for articulation and cheap price tags. All opinions are welcome.
well in what way do you want a g1? do you want the original? do you want the masterpiece? do you want the hyper style? we need more information, there is FAR too many optimus primes to choose from.
I'm not looking for a specific G1 Convoy anything is cool, as long as it's not a brick and won't run me $500. I did some research and it looks like the Robot Masters G1 Convoy is my best bet.
what he said. and they JUST opened up preorders for a NEW run of them! you can get it for 94.95 at TFSource... there is nothing else out there that is more bang for the buck than MP Convoy, and with 94.95 bucks, that's a lotta bang!
i'd say, in my personal opinion, that any of these would do Masterpiece Prime [if you want G1-ish] Galaxy Convoy [Cybertron Optimus] Fire Convoy [RID Optimus] thems probably the best ofthe Prime's IMO [not to say that the others arent freakin cool too I <3 Optimus xD]
I'd say MP/20th Prime. Best one ever made, no contest. If you want something cheaper, you could go after a THS 02. Very tiny but very well made. The RM (from what I've seen- don't have one myself) is decent for bot mode but the truck mode is atrocious. Worse than THS 02. If you're really really patient you could wait for the G1 Classics line. We haven't seen the mold yet but I can't imagine they could fuck it up.
I'm inclined to wait for the G1 Classics as well. If Astrotrain and the Cybertron line are anything to go by, it'll be an awesome, redefinative version of the toy.
