Provided that comes to fruition, that's a fucking casting coup if I've ever heard of one.
Holy sh#t. Spectacular casting.
Now he's gotten to play the two most glorified Super-villain stalkers in comics history.
That really awesome casting choice.
Oh. My. God.
His double role in LEGEND was fantastic. (And his other roles too as Bane, Handsome Bob, Bronson, etc). But I think of Legend as the way I'd like to see Venom, as a split persona (and one person talking to himself).
Now you have my attention, Sony. Do try not to fuck this one up...
It's infuriating to see its not connected to MCU.
even if it was, it would've been years before we see a MCU venom, as currently Feige is planning on using villains that werent used by Raimi and webb
Tom Hardy as Venom can mean only one thing.
I hope it's great because Tom Hardy doesn't do that many bad movies.
But the again he was the original person to play Rick Flag in Suicide Squad and that movie was meh.
I'm way more interested in Venom than Spiderman now
Of course they just had to cast someone who's already played a somewhat iconic comic book villain. God forbid they cast a unknown or a lesser know newcomer. The movie will be a flop without Spider-Man in it. It'll probably be something idiotic like Agent Venom.
Agent Venom was removing the symbiote from a anti-villainous character and giving it to someone who could use it for good, and who encountered other symbiotes (Carnage, Hybrid, Toxin, Mania, etc). That could work for a non-Spidey route.
We don't know where this will go, let's hear more than the casting info.
I never expected them to get Tom Hardy for this. That's frickin awesome.
I think the whole horror thing's kinda cool, honestly. And not having it be connected to the MCU helps it a bit, I think. Helps it stand on its own.
Who still at times fights against the symbiote itself, would make for a good jekyll/hyde action plot.
What Tom Hardy Looks Like as Venom
Fan art was fast. Looks neat.
