This thread is to inform people of the number of Vehicons killed in battle... Or murdered by fellow Decepticons. This may not be completely accurate, but it's very close.

I will update this after every new episode.

    Vehicon Deaths

    Episode with most deaths: Con-Job
Number of deaths in Con-Job: 114

    Season One: 265

    Season Two: 47

    Grand total:

    312

R.I.P. 312 Vehicons. You fought bravely. :rip

Yes, I was watching all the episodes anyway, so when there was a fight I counted how many went in and went out... :confused2

It's a really nerdy and anal thing to do, but honestly, I appreciate it. Keep up the good work!

If for nothing else to prove points for arguements I wish to make. :ev:

    Sweet!

We should always mourn the dead.

    All 297 of them...

Damn it, that's thoughtful. Great job thinking about this.
But I don't think that's entirely accurate, because I think a few fight scenes had some offscreen deaths.

As I am extremely board, I counted the casualties of the Darkness Rising five parter.

    Deaths: 38.
    Uncertain if deaths: 32.
    Total casualties: 70.
    Then there's off screen casualties.

So the Decepticon kill to death ratio of Darkness Rising was
    Deaths: 38+.
    Kills: 1.

Which side was meant to be struggling again?

Vehicons may die all the time, but the Decepticons are unaffected by the loss of replacable mooks. The Autobots, meanwhile, lost one of six. In terms of numbers, losing just one Autobot outweighs the loss of mooks.

hahaha! and it sure's a big mystery why the Autobots lost the war.

These figures do not put the Decepticons in a favourable light. If only the Autobots had a cannon fodder army of their own; things wouldn't look so one-sided that way.

By the way, can someone with multiple Vehicon toys upload and post a pic of their Vehicons standing in mourning by a pretend grave, with the caption 'Never Forget Our Cold, Dead 297: They Lived Warriors and Died Heroes'? I'm totally serious, by the way.

Well, then there's possibly up to hundreds of genricons that died in the rest of the series, while the Autobots went on to lose 1, 2, 4, 7 0 troops.

And? Mooks still remain mooks; their losses don't ultimately matter. The Nemesis is still packed with them, there's clearly no concerns of shortage. Megatron literally has nothing to worry about. The only real threat to him now is Airachnid and her own army, since an Insecticon did a better job at fighting him then three Autobots at the same time followed by a fourth one.

The only real damaging loss to the Decepticons would be if they lost Soundwave, but he ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

But there are three problems with this. 1) It's insulting to the Cons. 2) It's unrealistic. and 3) Where the bloody hell do these Decepticons keep coming from?

    1. The mooks serve their purpose; they do labour, the Autobots get to kill them and the main Decepticons don't need to worry about sucking and dying. Sad to be a Vehicon, but it is a noble sacrifice to preserve the integrity of your higher-ranking 'Cons!

    2. Very unrealistic indeed. But don't worry; the Insecticons will make up for the Vehicons sucking.

    3. Remember how G1 Soundwave made Energon cubes by spitting them out his chest? TFP Soundwave does that, but with fully-functional Decepticons XD

Despite them being there to make the named Cons look good, most of the named Cons, while are interesting, suck.

Megatron: Does nothing most of season one and is an incompetent leader.
    Starscream: Deserter.
    Airachnid: Deserter.
Dreadwing: Powerful and tactful but I need to see more of him to be certain.
    Soundwave: Does almost nothing interesting.
Knockout: Nothing more than an overglorified Vehicon.
    Breakdown: Broken down.

No better than the Cons in most other series.

But how many Vehicon deaths are legit, bye bye deaths and how many are them being knocket out? I recall in Convoy that some Vehicons just... get up and go back to fight sometimes. The dudes that Arcee jumped and shot at in the S2 Premiere probably just got up afterwards all "dude what the hell was that"

In hindsight, Megatron would have saved himself a lot of trouble if he just let Starscream die in Rock Bottom. Heck, Starscream would have saved himself a lot of trouble if he just sent Soundwave to kick the Autobot's asses.

Megatron should really just do things himself. Only Optimus is a legitamate threat to him, and he'd kick the crap out of every other Autobot. I think Megatron's problem is that he's lazy.
