Nice! I've really enjoyed seeing your progress on this.
Holy Moly! Thats some awesome work. I look forward to seeing the completed form.
Holy shit, this is awesome.
Thanks, everyone! I just ordered 3D prints of the last parts to make "Land Team 11" -- Voltron's lower torso/pelvis vehicle -- and I'm actively designing the four Sea Team vehicles (#7, 8, 9 and 10) that form Voltron's legs.
wow. this is what i call scratch built! great job
Tonight I completed assembly of Land Team 11 -- the vehicle that form's Voltron's lower torso.
Next up: Sea Team 7, 8, 9 and 10 -- the four vehicles that form Voltron's legs!
Why does the left leg looks shorter on that model??
I'm redesigning the leg vehicles in order to accommodate articulated knees. Part of the redesign involves lengthening the lower leg vehicles.
The right leg is the work-in-progress redesign. The left leg is the older, shorter design.
From the basic idea of matching Panosh Place to planning with foamboard to computer modeling and printed execution, this is by far my favorite custom ever.
Seriously, massive applause for this. I cannot wait to see the finished product.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm in awe of the various projects that I've seen on these forums, so to be compared favorably with any of them is a huge compliment!
I'll share more updates in the coming days.
I just stumbled across this and it's awe-inspiring. Hope you're still OK out there somewhere.
Hi! I'm still around. I've become co-host of Let's Voltron: The Official Voltron Podcast, so I've not had much (okay, any) time for this project lately. I hope to resume working on it sometime soon!
Good, because holy shit this is awesome looking.
I'm working on Rugger 14, the Land Team vehicle that forms Voltron's right foot.

This weekend I'll post a photo of the completed physical models.
I'm glad to further progress on this! All the design work was really inspiring to me, and still is! Wishing you luck with the rest of the project.
