I searched for another thread, went back to 2010, so unless something is wonky I don't believe we have one yet. Pls merge if duplicate. Set in 1960s Las Vegas, the series centers on Sheriff Ralph Lamb (Quaid) and his dealings with Chicago mobster Vincent Savino (Chiklis), who moved west to set up his own operation. The Lamb character is based on a real-life former rancher who served as Sheriff of Clark County from 1961 to 1979. Hopefully you guys are watching this series, it's really been good so far, Quaid and O'Mara are excellent as the cowboy sheriff's and Chiklis is great as the understated but deadly mobster. Think there's been 3 episodes so far and they've all been pretty well done, the pilot outlining how Lamb becomes Sheriff and Savino moving to Vegas to take over his casino, with a few murders and other crimes thrown in. The Chicago boss and boys came in for a little visit this week and a little chaos and fights here and there. Like how Savino got what he wanted. This series is Mad Men & Sopranos in Vegas. I love these period series for the most part and this one seems to be moving at a pretty good pace, so far. Anybody else watching this one???
