For ease, I'm compressing this main post down to the basics and the most recent WIP picture. (And the one above just because I find it entertaining.)

TL;DR: Working on a Vector Prime cosplay. Aiming to have it done in time for TFCon.

UPDATE 5/4/2009: Friend let me use her pictures - well, here they are in all their fail glory! XD

Very cool. You did a nice job on the other costume and this one looks good so far--still a little rough, but there's a lot of detail to go into that one.

I'd appreciate it if you would attach all of the images in the first post, and not just one of them. you can make attachdd pics show up full-size just the same as you have here now.

Doing so! Will have it done within the next five minutes. Did you want me to remove the off-site links entirely?

k... can kinda see why it was mature, but then I've seen bodypaint in the general section of DA, so go figure...

Anyway, love the idea (the penmanship on your decolletage looked really close to the writing on Barricade's fender - great job on that) & think this one looks like it's moving along nicely...

Are you gonna wear a mask with this one, or leave it open (I think open looks more fun), and would like to see more of the Barricade costume, as I can't tell whether it has any dimension or it's flat (if flat, you really should consider making it 3D if you have the energy after this one...)

Looking forward to updates, so keep us posted.

Half the reason I put it as mature was to poke fun at it being kicked out of BotCon...I'm really glad that Savage took me seriously and put in a dress code this year, however small. :)  If the toy set's good next year I'm gonna try to go; I'd already planned all my cons for this year when it was released.

My friend Shae did the handwriting; I was never able to find someone with penmanship as good as hers! As for more pics of it, EurobeatKing of Cosplay.com (whom I'll be asking for a photoshoot w/ Vector when I see him at AX) has a few in his gallery - including some with that awesome Movie!Bee (they start here and here. Slight edit in them, no penmanship, plus choker w/ 'Con logo). I didn't take very many, myself...

Mask! It's going to be a full mask, BUT easily removable; I already have the magnets I'll be using to make it easy attach/detatch to the cheek plates, when I add them.

thanks. see, by doing it this way, we know your thread will never get "broke" by your off-site images being moved or deleted and ruining the links to them in the thread. If you hit your edit button, you can see what I did to make your attached images also be the ones that are full-size in your post.

It's a fluorescent lighting panel, actually! I bought two at Lowes, and cut them diagonally in half to create two triangles. A bit of trimming later (and cursing as parts broke off I didn't -want- to break off until I remembered that the binding'll be going in about an inch), et voila.

Redid the torso, compressed the initial post.

I can now officially say I've bled for this costume, too! :p  (Kids, remember to be careful with bare X-Acto blades, they be SHARP!)
