I did some searching and it looks like the nintendo films have been in movie limbo from 2005!
Don't hold your breath for them folks.

A mysterius cities of gold movie based on the nick cartoon is in the works also. This is the show that inspired avator.

 

You guys seem to have all the big budget blockbusters covered... but what about the good comedies coming out in 2009?

Here are some I'm looking forward to:

Year 1 - When a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Jack Black and Michael Cera) are banished from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world.

Funny People - Frankenstein Comedy remake with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogan

I love you man - A newly engaged guy sets out to find the perfect "Best Man" for his wedding, with Paul Rudd and Jon Favreau.

Red State - A horror film in which a group of misfits encounter fundamentalism gone to the extreme in Middle America, directed by Kevin Smith.

Roll Models - Wild behavior forces a pair of energy drink reps (Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott) to enroll in a Big Brother program.

 

Another Shrek movie? Wolverine movie? Voltron? Thundercats? Here, I'll just pay all my money up front and you can stab me in the testicle. It would be easier to sit through.

 

Man I cant wait for this and Zack and Miri Make a Porno.

Anything on Jurassic Park 4? I keep hearing it's in development hell, and they're trying to work on it, maybe for 2009?

They're making a Metal Gear Solid flick??? I guess the series does have the potential for a good movie, as long as they stick to the movie just being the first game. I can see how this movie could rock, if Psyco Mantis and REX are pulled off right, since they're the most visually stunning bosses of the game (although I'd be REALLY impressed if the writers somehow got the memory card reading gimmick for Mantis in the movie in a good way).

I'm not to hot on some of those other movies, though, especialy the remakes. Some movies were only good the first time.

 

Given the record Hollywood has with video game adaptations, Id say its gonna be a sad day when this movie comes out.

 

Whats with all the sequels?

 

There is an extreme amount of sequels in that list and a lot of video game and comic movies. I'm just surprised Spider-Man 4 and 5 are listed only one year apart. I would think Spider-Man 4 would be next year and not 2010. Still this list has a few I would like to see (mostly comic movies, Transformers, and G.I. Joe) but a lot I could do without. Also there are a lot of WTF titles on there.

 

What about Astro Boy?

Is it sad that I'm psyched???  

 

Knowing Hollywood, they'll probably fuck it up like they did Dragonball.
