At least Bayonetta sold well enough to warrant a sequel, so maybe they'll give B2 a try next. I heart Platinum games though.
finished act 1 last night. hella fun game. it reminds me ALOT of ZOE2 design wise. even the space station is very similar.
It's very Hideo Kojima-esque isn't it? Glad you like it and hopefully now I'll have someone to compete against in regards to who can't get the most of those precious achievements
its like if gears of war had a baby with lost planet, but there's a lingering suspicion that hideo kojima might be the father. also most of those cheevo's don't seem too bad, but i guess playing the game on hard will answer that question.
The hardest achievement is finding all the hidden golden statues, most of the of them are in totally obscure and well hidden places. Also self induced slo-mo is crucial on the harder difficulties, I tend to forget about it on easy but you have to use it as best as you can or you're going to be flinging that joypad about in a fit of "bullshit" rage when you die.
yeah, i can tell that some fights reward skill, especially the boss fights. looking forward to sinking more tome into it!
Rented it yesterday out of sheer curiosity because of the super cool cover. THIS GAME IS FREAKING AWESOME.
If any of you are interested, the strategy guide is pennied out at gamestop, I got it for a whopping 1 cent...YMMV on if they will sell it to you, they arent supposed to.
finished the game over xmas, all i need to do is finish the game on hard now then i'm done with it. its a real blast for sure, enjoyed it very much! after i'm done on hard i only have 3 cheevos left... killing 4 dudes with the lock on laser, the pangloss statues (i thought i had got most of them by having 35 at the end of the game but i hear there are 128!!) and the hidden one, which i assume is the challenges. i find this game so addictive with its shoot > slide > cover crazyness. i like how a big robot can fire a huge missile at you and you can slide out at the last second then start blasting in slow motion. so fun.
I tried to do it on hard but the first boss is a real pain for me. It takes forever to slowly grind down his health. So either i'm missing something important or I just flat out suck.
hmm, there must be a way to make him transform quick. i love how this game feels hard but kinda doable at the same time feels very retro in that sense.
yeah I love how it's just a constant shit show. crazy stuff keeps happening. I'm having trouble getting the achievement for Taking off a Romanov's limbs then finishing it with a melee attack. How do I specifically target the limbs without killing one?
disc gun thing works best for that one, aim the discs at its legs and arms in slo mo then run up and chainsaw that bastard.
YOU CAN USE IT AS A CHAINSAW?! OMGWTFBBQQQQQQQQQ this game only gets more and more awesome. how do i do it?
just equip it and do a melee attack. can't quite remember but i think using it's melee doesn't drain your boost meter either, it just uses one round of ammo instead so you can do it several times in a row.
