I was wondering if Alts. Camshaft is still somewhat rare ? If so, what would be the average value of one (say a MISB one) ? I was planning to trade the extra one I got today for maybe Alts. Mirage, would that be fair ?

Also, my TRU have plenty of Classics Starscream, are peoples still wanting him as much as before ? And again if still rare, what value would he have on average ? Maybe I could buy some extra for trade.

Alt Camshaft I think goes for about 50 USD on eBay, meanwhile Mirage goes for a bit more and is more sought after.

i bought mine for like $10 on bbts during their sale, and i wouldn't page a penny more for it, so keep that in mind, they are not worth any blue book price, but only worth what people are willing to pay for it.

Thanks for the info guys. Guess I won't get more Starscream than I need if he's no more rare/in demand then :lol

I'll have to see if someone can still get Mirage in a store or something, or at least get it used. I can always trade Camshaft for something else!

The Asian market is very spendy when it comes to Classics. They aren't getting the figures so they are willing to pay more to get them there. Always an option for you.

Camshaft is pretty rare, they were going for $70 a pop in the dealer room at BotCon.

botcon prices were outrageous on alts, lots of them were artificially inflated for the show.

I wish I had an extra mirage for you I still need two loose camshafts. At cybcon I picked up a mismb mirge for $30.

I doubt you'll be able to find one or someone who can find one in a (retail) store....the trade for Mirage would probably work out though....they are pretty much equal as of right now....

You can sell those MOSC Classics Starscreams for about $30-40 a pop on ebay. It's the most expensive of the Classics from what I've seen.

And no, TRU RI SW and Walmart Devy dont count.

Classics SS and Alts Mirage & Camshaft weren't exactly rare; they were just victims of shoddy distribution from Hasbro (in the same vein as Swerve). A majority of Camshafts especially seem to have ended up in Canada :D

I recently sold a Camshaft for $51 from a buyer in Japan; sold a Mirage for about $70 a month or two ago. Mirage is specially creeping up to Swerve's price ridiculousness; I've seen more than a few go past the $90 mark (as recently as last week).

I've never seen a Camshaft on the shelf, ever. I purchased that figure from HasbroToyShop.com the second it was available. Its value is close to $50 ... but with Alternator Prowl absolutely on FIRE on eBay, the heat is bound to rub off.

A trade for Mirage might be a steal in today's money. Give it 3 months and it might be even.

Classics Starscream is an odd one. He was removed from case assortments last December / January. He is the best one to have, and with the BotCon seekers attracting so much attention, his value went up.

He goes for about $40 shipped, MISB, C9 container.
