So I'm looking for something to get my wife for Valentines Day. I'm trying to find something nice (possibly jewelry).

Right now I'm gauging interest in a Pearl Necklace.

But I have a day or two to decide. She found some pendants at JCPenney she likes, but I just don't know if she'll wear them.

As far as that day goes, I think we're going to stay home. I'll cook. We'll have some wine. Watch some movies. But, it could get changed.

What are you guys doing for your significant other for Valentines Day?

A gift? Do you have a price range?

    Or a nice evening out?

    What do you guys do?

I just spend 100 bucks on MAC cosmetics for my gf and a nice French dinner for 60 bucks for 2 people. Since my gf is never into brand clothing/bags or jewelry. So, i took her to a MAC cosmetics store (my decision) and told her to pick out what she wanted. And she was just getting in to make-up. For 100 bucks, i got her a 5 brush set w/ bag and mixing brush (no idea what it is for, but my gf knows) and lip stick and lip linear. Hope this was helpful.

Do you even have to ask?

    The answer is clear.

    Dick in a Box.

Not gonna get you a diamond ring
That sort of gift don't mean anything
Not gonna get you a fancy car
Girl ya gotta know you're my shining star
Not gonna get you a house in the hills
A girl like you needs somethin' real
Wanna get you somethin' from the heart
    Somethin' special girl

Can order her something from Flowerstogo.com.
or atleast get some good ideas from it

That's where I get stuff for my mom. They ship FAST

Or go vintage and get her something she's used to have when she was a kid, but brand new shape.

Or a giftcard to somewhere that sells TF's

i got her flowers so far...trying to figure out what else.

as for what we're gonna do....nothing.

she works during the day and has school during the night (meaning she'll be gone from the house from 6am-11pm)

I agree that you should give her a pearl necklace. Or do what I'm doing and get her nothing [WARNING: NOT FLAME BAIT, JUST MY OPINION, DO NOT REACT BADLY TO IT] because over-advertised, forced and cliched holidays suck balls.

    Dear llamatron,

Fuck you. And your non-conformist ways.

My girlfriend got me a calendar she designed and had printed out professionally with pictures of us, its called Angela and Gabe Loving Through 2008. Very sappy and sentimental.

Tell her that she can't dump you now, because you'd be left with a painful reminder for the rest of the year.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised with how many times we've broken up and gotten back together, heh. I'll be sure to bring it up

    I heart llamatron.

I went through this same discussion with my girlfriend. We don't make a big deal out of it because it is a non-holiday in our eyes, and people shouldn't need some specified day to do nice things and show they care about the one they love.

Though from years and years of going through this shit, I still feel obligated to get her some stuff (out of habit)...But Hallmark and flower companies will get none of my money!!! It is really just an excuse now for us to buy toys for each other.
