Hey guys, just read a few tutorials on using styrene, and apparently these things were sold in years gone by as toys that allowed vacuum forming with styrene.

Anyone have one/know whether it works or not?

Plane Modelers do this quite frequently.

You need a box with holes in the top and a strong vacuum cleaner. You put the styrene in a frame and heat it in the oven.

Yes, i realize you could do this with other machines, but i was just wondering whether anyone had used Mattel's Vac U Form, as it seems pretty easy to use. I'm also not sure how well the parts from that machine would translate to kitbashing.
