Oh yeah, I remember. It had the 3 D's:
    Donovan-Diana-Dust

It was great for its time and the lizard babys tongue always scared me!

V was absolutely amazing. I found out about it a few years ago and picked up the miniseries on DVD. Even for 80's SFX, the whole thing was really well-executed. Great moment in sci-fi, if you ask me.

I have it on DVD, actually. Damn, the main character looks like Kevin Bacon.

I just got through watching both miniseries a few times a couple months ago. I still find it to be as great a TV series now as it was in the 80's when I saw it originally. It's basically a modern (well, back in the 80's) Nazi vs. the world story. It had such great character development despite some of the actual acting being a little wanting and over the top at times.

Remember there are 2 parts to the miniseries (2 DVD sets): V: The Miniseries & V: The Final Battle. Then you have V: the TV series which wasn't very successful. I believe Michael Ironside was the only actor to reprise his role in the TV series.

Can you tell I'm a geek for this show? :D

They repeated V over here in the UK a couple of months ago. And, just as when it first aired, I was glued to every episode.
NOTHING like that had been done before on TV; it was a huge event. And all these years later it still has the same impact it had back then. One of very few shows I would call a true classic.

The best thing about V? Marc Singer wasn't in a little loin cloth like he was in in the Beast Wacker.

BTW: "V: The Second Generation" (2008) (mini)

V was awesome, and it had Michael Ironside in it, which made it even more awesome.

I have V The Original Mini, Final Battle and TV show all on DVD. Definitely classic stuff. I even got my 13 yr old brother to like it. He's down with alien baby.

I'm glad there's a remake coming. The TV show ended poorly. And with today's effects, it could be amazing. If Ironside could come back in some form, that would be awesome.

Wasn't Alien Nation another attempt at the same story and also created by Kenneth Johnson? I didn't watch too much of that one, but I did find it interesting from what little I did see.
