I'm convinced.

I can't think of any movies I've seen a real Osprey in...will this be a film first?

See, more proof that it's in the movie (well speculation anyways) since it hasn't been at this base before. Why else bring it in?

I'm also curious, why is the military using rotary aircraft instead of jets in the movie?

Although I doubt it's a Transformer (it may just be the military muscle in the movie) I do hope it ends up being Vortex (They shouldn't change the name, please please please keep the copter Vortex, especially if he's an Osprey!)

It could be on a joint AF/Navy exercise ie Red flag, Cope thunder , Maple leaf etc

 

He mentioned that he saw another helicopter, and the HM40 is (from what the reviews said) Vortex' altmode.

 

I would know about it since i work on the flight line and nothing ever goes on at this base like that

 

They could be landing in Antarctica discovering Transformers?  

 

Ha, I was at a promotion ceremony a few days ago, and the promotee revealed that he just left Holloman a little while ago. I instantly thought "they're filming TF's - the movie there".  

 

You have also to remember, the MV-22 osprey is still going under trail and certification by the DOD . It could be that the aircraft seen here is doing some operational trials with its systems .

My name is Sra Newton and I'm part of the maintainence crew for the CV-22 that was there at Holloman over the weekend to support the movie.

-Yes, it's going to be in the movie. It carries the human "heroes" (Josh and Tyrese) coming back from a mission. They took lots of footage of it flying around and landing over the dunes, etc, before they shot footage of the actors and aircrew from the back of the plane. The other crew chief with us, and myself, got used in two of the scenes. It was pretty bad ass.

-No, the CV-22 is -not- going to be a Transformer in the movie, it merely lands at the base that Vortex (Which Mr. Bay has decided to rename to "Incinerator") blows to hell and back.

That doesn't bother me. In fact I wish Bumblebee and others that couldn't have their respective vehicle modes were renamed to something else too. Why not go with new characters? Makes more sense to me. Most of the casual fans will remember him as a VW beetle. If in fact Bumblebee is going to be a Camaro then it would make more sense to have an all new character instead. Hot Shot anyone?
