If you look at criticisms levelled at Bay and compare them to Boll, they'd probably be quite similar, but then again so would half the directors out there. Boll makes cheap direct to DVD adaptation schlock, but to his credit, its better than the rest of the direct to DVD schlock....but that ain't saying much. :lol

On a serious note, I'd prefer Joe Johnston. 'Jumanji' and 'Jurassic Park 3' show he has the skills.
Even 'Iron Man's' John Favreau would be fine.
Peter Jackson? Erm, could work, but I am not too thrilled after 'King Kong' to see him handle anything to do with giant characters.

I don't think I'm comfortable with the idea of having the director that ruined Jurrasic Park. although, I'm curious of what John Favreau can contribute.

Eh, why not? Anything that can train wreck this mess sooner so we can get to a reboot. Given the way Boll butchers films he could have it ready for release by next summer.

I'm thinking about maybe skipping the third film anyway so it's not like I'd really be loosing anything if they actually found someone even worse than Bay. I mean what's he going to do make the Decepticons look weak, fill it with bad humor, and have the robots come off as guest stars in their own film?

When Bay makes a movie, you get slapped in the face. When Boll makes a movie, you get kicked in the balls, knocked into a crate of broken glass and peed on.

Bay has made very enjoyable movies, even if he will never win an Oscar. He isn't good at story structure or characters, but he understands the technical aspects of creating images. He is an cinematographer in a directors chair.

Boll isn't even that. He doesn't understand anything about film making. He is Bay sans the intellegence. Yes, you heard me right.

It is the choice of two evils. Bay is the lesser of that.

At least no one here made a suggestion to get Roger Christian to direct the next TF movie. I'm not even gonna explain what he directed...

He may have ruined it for some, not me, but his style suits what is required. Thats what I mean.
Favreau is definitely the one I am intrigued with the most.

Is this the best people can think of when suggested better directors?

I forgot! maybe he can team up with Uwe Boll and make a decent Transformers 3. Michael Bay would shit his pants at the sheer awesomeness of it..

Uwe would at least have Megan Fox go topless. Nothing funnier to me than the scene in House of the Dead where this topless chick was dancing next to the SEGA logo. That's how you advertise.

I'd watch it. For the same reason I watched BayFormers: to see the spectacle of a trainwreck movie.

Also, a general note about Boll's flaws (besides him being one) is that his mentality of makin' action scenes and such is that of a 15-year old at best, just thinkin' what would look cool and then not think about how it'd work in practice anywhere as good as in his head.

Also, he obviously doesn't even look back on the story in "work", leavin' things like a movie starting with a dead character starring the narration at the beginning of the movie as if in he was one of the survivors.

Yeah, someone was able to say criticism rather than "Boll sucks" or "F*** him!" ^_^

So, Uwe Boll directs TF3, it's even worse, most of the fandom hate it, then he challenges us all to a boxing match and he gets the fucking beatdown of his life.

Sacrifice a movie for the killing of a shitty director? LETS DO IT!

TBH, If I was given the choice between Bay and Boll, I'd have to go with Bay 100%

Some of us would love James Cameron, Ridley Scott, etc... but let's be realistic here, they would never do it, so the lighter weight alternatives, ie. other directors a tier below them who may have directed moderately successful sequels of the aforementioned's films, are obvious candidates. :)
