Really awesome and well done! I thought these individual bots really do look stellar but just needed a little something and you Jsix delivered!

I've never given the Hasbro constucticons a second look or thought. In fact, I stumbled into this thread because i thought the pic was of TWs Scrapper! I thought, "What mods need to be made that figure??". :lol

So yeah, your mods do look that good if I'm mistaking it for a far more expensive figure. The hands and fillers really do make a big difference. Well done!

Also, Lowes has a really nice lime green spray paint (Sonic Lime). I don't know how close the UW figures are in color to Green Giant, but the paint I'm referring to is near identical to the MT figs. If the MT and UW figs are a close match, you might want to check out the paint I'm talkin' bout.

This came out pretty awesome. I didn't give the Hasbro set much thought till looking at the pics here.

Also does anyone else reminded of the scene from Grease when the dudes are singing Grease Lightning in the garage and Travolta is pointing?

Wow- filling those gaps really improve their overall look. It amazing how subtle changes can vastly improve a figure. Thanks for sharing!

Can we talk about the great job he's done on filling gaps?
Seriously, those gaps have been really well filled; you can practically see the smile on Scrapper's face.
Great job; let's give him a hand!

Fantastic job! that's a great upgrade for all of them.

The hands alone are a gigantic upgrade.. Hasbro should take heed!

But your panel additions really polish everything off.

    big thumbs up.

Sad part is 5 years ago you would have only had to do the hand mods and not worry about the gap filler.

    No gap filler jokes?

ANYWAY, yeah, I'm more impressed by the work done on the gaps. It looks stock. Impressive.

What about the silver? I've been looking for a good match to the HasTak silver used and yours looks pretty friggin close!

Amazing job! How do you keep the styrene in Hook's legs from falling out though?

Thanks for everyone comments!! G.I.EDDIE, love your customs dude, thanks! TheAmazingBrave, I think the silver I used is made by Krylon, but to be honest it's not the best match.... but it seems close because the two silvers are never side-by-side or facing the same direction. Also,
below is a closeup of Hook leg panels:

It's held in by a few dabs of epoxy, and has held up fine so far. As you can see, clearance is tight, but it fits in there no problem, and no paint-rubbing.

    Next up, getting-rid of Hook's Tripod...itis?
Basically just cut the stock crane in two, then cut a face out of the 2 halves. Then I glued in a double-jointed hinge to allow the crane to fold-up higher in bot mode. The double jointed hinge is actually just wing hinge + 2 wing flaps from an MP seeker.

Now hook can really stand on his 2 feet, no cheating :)

Bravo sir, bravo! I've been wondering about articulated hands for these guys. This might just give me the impetus I need to cut up my UW Constructicons! :lol  :cry

Those four at least could virtually pass for MP now, I too am waiting on Dr Wu for Mixmaster. Long Haul is out of the running for me, except in combined form!

Man look at those long, thick fingers! They can jerk things around much easier now!

This is so awesome! Thanks for the great photos and documentation. Im going to have to do the exact same thing. At $17 to $20 per set of hands this is an expensive upgrade. Im skipping the fold away boom though. Im working on modifying the dr wu boom to have an adjustable "black string" cable so he can whip his hook around and use it as a weapon. Also trying to make some outriggers for hook that connect into nunchucks.

That's MUCH better! A real shame HasTak had to make the Constructicons so hollow in the first place but dear god do these mods improve them!

Cool. Sorry this is a bit late but how can I get the fillers and the hands myself? I'd love to use those
