This really sucks. I been waiting anxiously to get my PP03J and today it finally arrived to only see that the box was crushed.. hoping that everything inside was ok .. well this is what I ended up with

The condition of the box I recieved.

The Figure's box is also crushed on one end.

    Tailfins have come off..

upon closer inspection the tips of the tailfins were broken off.

if this was yours what would you do??

Wow that blows - I would be livid.

Was it insured? Can you make a claim if it was not insured?

That sucks. I'm sorry to see that happen to a fellow collector. However, the type of box they shipped it in isn't very good for mailing big collector boxes, especially MP styled boxes. The cardboard is too thin and liable to bend and rip during transit. I think the ones that TFSource and BBTS use are much, much better. They're thicker and hold up a lot nicer.

it came from a company, dont want to say who at this point cause if they can make this right I dont wana say anything bad.

should I go ahead and make a claim w/ the post office or wait to hear back from the company?

Well, you as a customer will want to showcase patience and tact. It's the consumer equivalent of acting professional, so I can understand why you wouldn't want to get into it. But if it's a legit company that's packing this product for shipment, they're going to need to refine their packing process and use sturdier boxes. This isn't to say that it's 100% their fault. USPS can be pretty shitty when it comes to actually handling packages, but you need to come up with safeguards for this sort of thing.

Dude I would totally take there asses to the cleaners,if I paid that much for something like this you better believe they would hear about it.Also if they tell you that they don't cover that with insurance of $200 I would totally sue there asses for thousands. This is exactly why I never do business with USPS anymore,I usually use UPS,sure they may be slightly higher but your guaranteed to get your stuff in one piece.

Also I say to the Postal System "You Suck".we pay good money for stuff and you turn around and kick the shit out of it like a football."Down With USPS I say"

I'm almost positive the shipping company has to make the claim. You make the claim with the retailer and they make the claim with the shipper. That's because they are the ones who contracted with the shipper, not you.

As for USPS, I don't think getting reimbursed is going to be that easy. I personally wouldn't ship anything worth more than a 20 spot with effing USPS because of this.

Hopefully the seller makes it right.

Well, at least the seller didn't pack it all jacked up. I got a deluxe from Amazon 2 days ago that was literally stuff in a box that was too small for it. Fig arrived Ok but the card was all kinds of mangled. From freaking Amazon! Nonetheless, I called tham and we had words, lol.

But yeah, that box was a dumb idea for the iGear.

That's friggin HEARTBREAKING - he looks so gorgeous!!

I think whoever BOUGHT THE INSURANCE needs to file the claim - ie, if the seller went to the post office and shipped it and got the insurance, the seller would look into it - not you.

Good luck! Please let us know what happens!

Even replacement tailfins is not really a fair option. You are entitled to receive your item undamaged (including the box). I'd definitely contact the shipper and have them get something going on their end.
