I'd be all over a with-trailer version but would settle for just the cab. Either way, I'd like a MP-10 for less than $250.
Since I love going back and forth to Toys R Us and listening to everyone gripe about how they either don't have one near them, or how TRU T-R-Sux, I'm totally for spending the remaining $150 in gas money it'll take me to get one after they price him at $100. Pfft. However, the reality is that if they do make it an exclusive, I would be willing to get him. But I would love for him to come with something cool like a HiQ figure or something. Oh, and TRU does TRSux.
I have the Takara release. Yes, it was a pretty penny, but much worth it. I would probably pick up a US release as well.
just a thought here, but we know sideswipe is the next masterpiece, also sideswipe was the one that gave optimus the jetpack to use.... so here is to hoping that sideswipe comes with the jetpack, and they engineered it to fit on mp-10 as well.
I swear to god if they fuck up the deco like they did on Rodimus and Grimlock I will kill a kitten everyday for the rest of my life. The Deco is fine on the Takara version. perfect even. The last thing I need is for them to add paint apps to imitate stickers from the G1 toy that don't belong on the character model the toy is trying to emulate. It doesn't differentiate them, it ruins them. I can only pray they don't shorten the smokestacks too...
I'd definitely be down for a US MP-10 Prime sans Trailer. I have the Takara version, but the trailer doesn't seem to wow me as much as I thought.
no way the american release will have a trailer i swear, people never learn, MP-09's hasbro release had no trailer, and mp-10's release will have no trailer
I hope we're gonna see pics of the Hasbro MP10 at BotCon...and I hope he has an anime deco, that would be nice.
See MP-01's smokestacks and Grimlocks filed teeth and claws. I'd expect MP-10 to be no different. Little kids will kill themselves with long smokestacks. If you're going to have a toy maim a child, at least let it be Megatron.
How in the world did they mess up the deco on grimlock? There are barely any differences and some even prefers hasbros minor changes
Haha - too true and too funny. TRU is definitely not a hop and a skip away for me but I fear that making it an Amazon exclusive would give us another Unicron debacle. (though I did luck out with on that one.) In the end, it was just a matter of time before I got my TRU Roddy, though I was kucky enough to get in before the price hike but not lucky enough to get in on a coupon deal.
TRU isn't exactly a walk away for me either. However, I can always do what I do w/ Hasbro MP Rodimus, & order from the TRU website. Sure, shipping is involved, but my parents always pay that anyways...and with rising gas prices, it's not much cheaper anymore to drive all the way to the store & back.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do have one on display but if they do I bet my right butt cheek that its a TRU Exclusive just like Rodimus and Grimmy.
Sorry, but I highly doubt anyone wants your right butt cheek. Anyways...you're probably right. Although for some reason, I can see them surprising us & making it a Target exclusive...
IMO they will be TRU exclusive because walmart screwed up the MP seeker sales so bad (not so much starscream, although he was serverely underordered, while skywarp who was over ordered, well we know what happened to poor skywarp).
If its released, it will be a TRU exclusive in European markets as well as the USA. Otherwise, they just won't get the sales Hasbro needs.
True true...looks like I'll probably need to order this one online again. Although It'd be so nice to know a price...and see how it looks. Come on BotCon, hurry up & reveal this!
I still don't understand this thinking. TRU is not the largest toy retailer in the country by volume, Walmart is.
Conjecture. I would counter that European releases of TRU Masterpieces are an afterthought. I might also suggest that IF the trailer is making the cut, that will push the toy to $90-$100, which means 90-100 GBP, and that in turn make TRU in Europe reconsider it. Lots of ifs here. We don't even know for sure yet that a Hasbro version of MP10 exists at all.
