    Here's my take.

Just got him and I would rate him better than my Hasbro TFU Powerglide.

The red really stands out here.

Just to answer Robogeek28's question, yes the pegs on the arms to the verniers that hold the wings are MUCH better and securely hold the wings. But the best is....

    THIS!
After countless transformations the dreaded wing ratchet does not show any signs of stress and tear! Unlike the Hasbro version, after 1 or 2 times transforming the flap caused the ratchet to develop stress marks and perhaps broken in others.

I am glad to report that this problem is non existent in this 'henkei' version as the wings and the racheted joint folds very easily and I have TFed him around more than 20 times and he still looks fine :D  :D  :D  Kudos for Takara.

As always, I am a sucker for G1 homages, so the red kinda rocks

I'm hoping that someone out there who has both versions decides to do some parts swapping. I'd like to see how Takara PG looks with Hasbro PG's arms, for example.

Edit: Just checked my receipt and ordered this one. :D

if i did not already have stormcloud and tfu powerglide, i might think about getting this, how ever, i still prefer tfu powerglide to this. g1 goodness is great, but this to me is just too red :)

but with the black wash it sure does look better lol!

I had a pile of loot going at BBTS and it only cost me $58.79 to add him to my pile, which is currently en route.

That said I think $60 shipped is good if your gonna spring for him.

    Came out pretty decent.

If you are going to do this swap, WATCH the small springs in the shoulders. You WILL cry if you lose them! LOL

I just got him yeserday here in Japan. Love him, but two notable items. Yes, the arm tabs are not good enough to hold the wings to the sides of the engines, so his "shoulders" become unclipped extremely easy.

Interestingly, the joints at the base of the wings that rotate the arm/wing up into position are a lot easier to move on the Japanese version.
