So is this like a reverse import or something? That might explain the cost for RK...

But holy shit if TRU tried to pull a price like that in the States it would be hilarious. It will probably retail at about $100. Anything near $150 and I'm out.

I'm waiting for retail. No reason to pay $180+shipping for something that'll probably be for around $100 later.

Wow, I thought for sure this would be coming out in 2014, for the 30th TF Anniversary.

Wow, my wallet is going to be taking a serious pounding this month.

    SDCC exclusives
    AM-12 Breakdown
    FOC Generation toys
    MP-10 Optimus Prime
    and who knows what else.

But we'll probably hit a dry spell soon enough anyways, so I'll bounce back.

Or maybe one more year. Even though the 20th Anniversary Prime stated on box 1984-2004, I think it came out in '03.

    Or I'm crazy. Whatever.

It's $30 more than what the Australian TRU was rumoured to be at.

Or... early March. I got one for my birthday.

Edit: Anyway, I don't think that the TRU retail price will be nearly this high. Now, if these wind up having any ties to SDCC and hit eBay accordingly... well, then things may be different for the secondary markets.

What I see here, and I may be completely wrong, is a company that suspects it will only be able to secure a small amount of product through the middleman and is adjusting the price to cover their costs to get it to folks outside the originating country... much like BBTS handled MP-11S.

Not surprised by the price. US store exclusives always are more expensive when you buy them online from another source.

MP-10 didn't cost $ 250 for those living in Japan, but it did cost that for those living in the US/outside Japan. This figure will be cheaper in the US, but if you can't get it in a US store and have to buy it online (after shipping), it will become expensive.

Then don't buy from those overcharging sellers. I didn't and didn't pay anything near what they're charging.

(Actually, shipping to the Netherlands brings the RK US version to approx $ 220 and that is pretty close to what I paid for the Takara version.)

    So it says available mid-July.

Will it really be showing up at Toys R Us later this month?
