I'd like to share my second custom Transformers figure:

The head is a brand new sculpt, made mostly out of Super Sculpey and Green Stuff.

The figure is based on the Botcon Flak toy, here is a comparison between the old and the new head:

Hope you like him as much as I enjoyed making him.

Scattershot/Dropshot/Flakk mold just rocks in general, and this custom really is a work of art mate!

And just in case anybody needs further convincing of just how perfectly WorkBenchManiac captured my guy's likeness, take a look at the reference art located here by Jake Isenberg and Hans Kappers.

SO unbelievable happy with this. The wait until it arrives at my house is going to be murder!!

Thanks guys, glad you like him.

And all praise for the design has to go to Ursa Magnus himself, I just worked from his ideas, and the concepts he provided.

The custom is very well done, and there's nothing about it I particularly dislike. My only comment would be that the facial features look maybe a bit too rounded, not as sharp as they perhaps could be. But that's down to taste I think.

Can't help but feel sad that you used a Botcon exclusive as the base figure, though.

Good catch, you are absolutely right, the facial details are rounded, but that is by design- it's basically a human face with a helmet. At first I had, for example, the sides of the nose at a sharp angle, but it looked off compared to the more human face. So I rounded the edges somewhat, while keeping the robotic look with straight surfaces for the chin, eyes and nose.

    Blame Ursa, not me, lol.

Although, to be fair, I am not a toy collector myself, and I have no qualms about chopping up convention exclusives.
