who is the car designed after
While the car is simply a recolour of Bumblebees alt-mode model, it is supposed to represent the series of car that he scanned to acquire his alt-mode.
to me it looked like BB
It's nice that we have a name for a the genericar.
Yep - and at just the wrong time for Bumblebee to see the commercial. : /
I also thought the Urbana logo was pretty cool, too. I think it helped give that fictitious commercial some extra realism, besides the snazzy camerawork and the smooth voiceover.
Because it was Bee. The creators just opened his car mode file, saved it as something new, and changed the yellow to gray.
In fiction, it was the car that Bee scanned.
I thought it was a nice touch. Gave some credibility to his psuedo-Camaro alt mode. And the look on Bee's and the kids' faces was classic.
Hopefully we get some other vehicle modes revealed; I'd freaking LOVE for Ironhide and Ratchet to share vehicle models a la Dodge Rams.
Anyone else think Bulkhead's will be more of a Chevy, to counterbalance BB's Chrysler?
I always though Bulkhead was a hummer or a bearcat.
Nah, Breakdown's the Bearcat. But Bulk being a chevy or ford (durable, lower class, but strong) makes a lotta sense.
Obviously Prime's a Peterbuilt, Knock Out is an Aston-Martin, the Vehicons are Cadillacs, and Ratchet is some kind of Ford or Ram stand-in. Yes, Ram is its own brand now.
A Dodge is still a Dodge.
Yeah, but having Ratchet and Ironhide be the same model but civilian and ambulance variants is a nice, subtle way of saying they share body-types.
I believe BH takes at least some cues from a Lamorghini LM002
Which few people would get anyway.
What the hell was Lamborghini thinking when they made that, anyway?
Knowing Hasbro it's now an upcoming Bumblebee repaint named Urbanabot.
Indeed. I wish they did that more often.
And it would be a little not to G1 and Animated. However, TFP Ironhide will be a truck.
Lamborghini also make Farm Tractors - it's not as mad as you first think if you think of these sort of companies as engineering companies and not as just car manufacturers many German, Korean and Russian companies also make or made some very odd stuff to - Heck Lucky Gold Star as a Company make dozens of different things that are totally unrelated to each other.
But that style of Civilian variant of existing southern European Military 4X4's was the vibe I got from Bulk' too.
Thought Ironhide & ratchet are not identical I can see some similarities in the grill and general shape. It's like Ironhide has bigger wheels and no covered deck but that they share a similar GM looking Pick up undertray.
i thought bee was a camaro
