The new movie style faces will take some getting used to, but just as long as the stories are good I won't really care.
Maybe this time we will get to know the robots. The new Autobots in ROTF weren't introduced at all, this time things might change in these comics. As for the Decepticons I am really looking to see if they also include the Constructicons, with nice artwork, from NIzzi, or Figueroa.
Looks as if I'll be stopping by my comic shop and telling him to cancel my Transformers subscription. I hated All Hail Megatron and I don't like the direction they are taking the IDW universe. Not to mention the new art style looks absolutely terrible.
It's one of those "I see where he's going with it, and it looks fine in that context, but it's not my preference." kinda things for me. I've been lovin' Mr. Roche's stuff when I see it. I enjoy how expressive his drawing is.
As my good friend Doomprime pointed out... ITS F***ING PYRO! About time. ... if he's hi and die, then I'd almost be pissed if it wasn't for the fact that however long he appears in it, he's drawn by the friggin' Nick Roche! ... the only reason' he'd get killed is 'cos he'd be too awesome to go on for too much longer XD (and I'm goin' with the pre-existing official fiction of him, which puts him above Rodimus Prime for me. ^^ ) Also, nice to see Rotorstorm, even if I never owned the figure, but obscures for the win. ^^
I would pay good money for them to follow the Fearswoop example and redeco ROTF Dirge as Deftwing. Judging by Hot Rod's return to his pre-AHM body and this being a new writer, it's probable the ongoing series will be another so-called "soft reboot" where they sweep away the previous series.
Okay, I know I'm slow but: "'Revenge of the Fallen' has already started. Issues 3 and 4 feature Jetfire. He was British in the movie, I don't know why. Next we have issues featuring RC and Ravage." Huh? ROTF has already started? What series are they talking about with issues 3 and 4 featuring Jetfire?
They meant "Tales of the Fallen." Jetfire is featured in issue 3, and The Fallen is featured in issue 4 (and supposedly Jetfire also has a part in issue 4).
