I'm thinkin' they're making a new Escalation map for the Dinobots. Seeing as there can only be 4 players in Escalation, it could explain why Sludge isn't in there. If so, I guess they'd also make one for the Insecticons with Shockwave. I've also noticed that Scrappers seem to use Hounds chest chassis.

 

Where is Hound coming from!? I've only seen him in the Gamestop Pre-order trailer. I don't own the game yet so I won't know if he appears in it. Any photos? Plz?

It's a shame High Moon is pulling a Capcom with the multiplayer parts, I thought companies would learn better after the shitstorm that was Street Fighter X Tekken.

I guess nowadays DLC stands for Disc Locked Content instead of Downloadable Content.

 

I'd give them props and respect if they could give us even one single-player story DLC.

Multiplayer just means nothing to me. Don't care about it. It'd be nice to have something new be added to the part of the game that matters.

DiMaggio is not on the Voice Cast List. So that is Unlikely.

Anyone know if there has been DLC campaign for a video game before? If there is a precedent for this then maybe we should start making some noise about getting some.

 

I can see why Sludge wasn't playable in game and won't have a MP or escalation model now, he'll be bigger than Grimlock and Grimlock is bigger than the tanks as it is. Unless the dinobots get shrunk to fit the sizes of the classes

 

Do you mean DLC that was completely crucial to the story and makes the main campaign incomplete without it or just DLC that was kind of a side-story? Because I can rattle off a few for the former, Mass Effect 3 comes to mind immediately.

On an unrelated note, I assume we won't be getting any femme-bots (minus Escalation) because of the cross-dressing (cross-chassis?) capability with other parts.

In the end credits you get to see all 5 dinos walking side by side. HMS already shrunk Sludge down a good bit, Grimlock is way beefier than Sludge from what I remember seeing.

They could very easily put sludge in as a titan still. His robot mode even heavily resembles one already.

 

Batman Arkham City had DLC that added to the story mode

 

Campaign single-player story based DLC is very comon actually.. it would take too long to list all the games that have done it. But it's very common... in A-list games.

It's more expensve than adding multiplayer DLC and takes more effort as you have to actually write story and all, but most top shelf A list games do it now adays.

Sadly I doubt FoC is quite A list enough. Which makes me sad.


-ZacWilliam, if we ever DO get that for a TF game, that'll be a very good sign that it's gone from a moderately successful series to a grade A hit.

 

Maybe we won't get a DLC campaign, but a 3rd game is most likely a definite. I heard WFC didn't do all that well but we still got a sequel. Hasbro probably sees the games as good way to sell toys.
