I would of bought that Blackarachnia and Rattrap in a heart beat. Sad that after this year we won't be seeing anymore amazing things from Fun Pub.

I was not a big fan of pre-BW characters in the A/E/C molds. The pre-BW characters in Classics style molds have been very fun however. I've enjoyed and not enjoyed some of the Prime mold usages.

Those unused concepts look really good. Honestly I think a new head for Prime Frenzy and Rumble would make a good set of Packrat and Rattrap without need of recoloring, but I would have been happy for a FunPub release.

I really want a Classics style pre-BW Black Arachnia. That Chromia version of the mold would work, but I would not a new head not just a recolor.

The Springer as Dinobot works, that would be fun. Who is the pinkish Optimus Prime reuse? Kind of looks like Scorponok but I couldn't zoom in too much.

I would be happy with FunPub entering into a new agreement with Hasbro about Transformers. However I kind of hope something a little more drastic for putting out these sorts of figures happens. Give them a better relationship with the factories, giving them more opportunity to catch issues and get things how they want. Maybe don't do direct to customer distribution, instead use the infrastructure of the etailers.

Nothing special here. 95% of TF product is better than this. See Legends Blackarachnia. These all feel very desperate and they are all unnecessary anyway, as we have better renditions of each of these characters and we already have several versions of each of these molds. This tired business model reeks of desperation - how can we spend as little as possible and charge as much as possible for it? 3rd parties should effectively kill interest in things like this.

I wish we had got that Botanica design from the comics, just so there existed a Botanica toy at all. These are okay but nothing spectacular.

Blackarachnia would've been alright, but the rest weren't necessary. Especially not Galvatron, since the BWII design already has a drilltank mode and a figure that's overall better than BH Prime.

Did that concept art for a data disk Scrounge ever get confirmed? Because that's the only cancelled TFCC figure I'm kinda bummed about losing.

These aren’t half bad, Dinobot Springer is kinda neat, but I don’t really care about Beast Wars characters which are not beasts. So I’m not sad that these won’t come out anytime soon.

That's Galvatron from Beast Wars II.

I'm more the opposite, i thought they picked WAAAAAAY better molds to represent the characters for Botcon 2006 (<-- which i thought was far and away the best Botcon set ever): this years set felt super "blocky square pegs in organic round holes" by comparison ~ the Cybertron molds in particular that they used were nicely "Cybertronian" so it fit with the idea of them being pre-BW.

I like the Black Arachnia from this set of images, but the rest seem like a stretch (BW2 Galvatron from TFP Optimus Prime in particular doesn't make much sense to me visually)

but always fun to see unused concepts!

It's always nice to get a look at unreleased toys/concepts. Personally these were not my cup of tea but i do feel for those fans who wanted them. I'd have preferred BW characters from actual beast modes, like Shadow Panther from Universe Cheetor (though I know some fans hate the mold) or BW Grimlock/BWN Hardhead/BM Dinotron from Universe Dinobot.

Those figures are to add to the 2006 Botcon box set.

These look ok but aren't really my cup of tea. The only one I might've seriously considered going after is Dinobot, and that's largely due to my love of the Springer mold.

I'd be sadder if Flywheels or more AMs, G2 or non-CW Diaclone stuff were showed off somewhere.

You may not care about Scrounge but hell, Hasbro just gave us a toy of a character so obscure that FunPub never even thought to make one.

.@rac2750 Oh. We thought of it. Scrounge is far from obscure and he had been on our list for awhile...

Blackarachnia is my favorite BW character and I still wouldn't have wanted this. Dinobot looks good, but only because I like the Springer mold
Honestly, these seem like very lackluster attempts.

Blackarachnia never had a pre-BW vehicle. This isn't like G1. The pods barring Rampage were all blanks. The idea that the characters from stasis had lives on Cybertron is a fan concept.

awh man, data disk scrounge is awesome. i'd take that over the barely fitting cosmos retool.
