Unused Generation One Swoop, Roadgrabber, and Gunnrunner color schemes?

    Swoop:http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Transforme...oryZ4696QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    Roadgrabber & Gunrunner (robots & cars):http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Transforme...oryZ4696QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Roadgrabber and Gunnrunner (robots in cars):http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Transforme...oryZ4696QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Swoop doesn't really look like he'd fit in as a Gen.1 figure with those colors. Could this possibly be an unused Gen. 2 version?

Roadgrabber's car has yellow plastic used where black plastic now is.
His robot figure has gray plastic used where black plastic now is.
Roadgrabber COULD have yellow face paint instead of orange (I cannot be sure from the small picture).

Gunrunner's plane (not his car) has silver plastic used for it's wings and turrets where yellow plastic for the wings and black plastic for the turrets now are.
His robot figure has silver plastic used where black plastic now is.
Gunrunner has black face paint instead of silver.

I've seen that Swoop artwork before, according to the previous seller it was for a G2 release that never happened. Definitely has the G2 quality to it.

Swoop Really woul'nt look bad with g2 blue grimlock. If that was produced in some parallel universe then swoops would be significantly easier to find.

Those cars with robots though. I hav'ent seen them before but they seem to be from the pre-g2 pretenders/powermasters era. certainly getting a pretenders vibe from the robots who jugeing by the legs do some conversion to hovercraft tanks or something. vaguely like mega pretenders.

    I'd like a set though I can't afford it.

G2, no way they'd have considered a paint scheme so out of whack with the otherwise uniform dinobots.

Interesting that the mold was still around for G2 though... waaant.

That Swoop is kind of like Devastator meets Defensor with the lime green/powder blue combo eh. Kind of neat

I don't know about you guys, but I'd DEFINITELY buy a Swoop in those colors. I really think bright green would work well in pterodactyl mode. Plus, he'd have light blue boosters on his back. As you can tell, those colors for Swoop are really growing on me.

Well, I'd buy a new Swoop in any color that exists, and some that don't.

Though G2 styled, Swoop's deco isn't as crazy as other G2 figures.

I'd definetely buy a Swoop in that deco.

    Get to it KO workers.

Ah, what could have been... And what I would have mauled a kid for had this been released in G2. Still would buy a reissue in those colors (assuming the mold's not as lost as it's supposed to be.)

Oh that Swoop looks pretty awesome to me. Fuck you Hasbro for not ever releasing it back in the day. Also, for not releasing every other figure "from the cartoon" that I could never find on the toy shelves because you never produced them.

I think the reason HASBRO did not make them was because they did not have the molds for those figures.

Y'know, eventually they're gonna have to reverse-engineer them someday. Or at least make new molds. Those don't last forever. And people won't stop asking for certain figures (Swoop, Mirage, Etc.) until they finally get a GENUINE reissue.

But in the meantime, bootleggers who make knockoff reissues out somewhere in Asia will profit for as long as Hasbro and/or TakaraTomy does not make reissues of these "lost-mold" figures. Seeing that Sky Linx, Ironhide, and Ratchet will be reissued, we all went bananas. Remember,we fans want what we cannot have. It's human nature 101. And it's also a way to make some money from our collecting needs.

So if you're reading this right now, and you are on Hasbro's Transformer team, then you will at least be aware that if you make a mold for Swoop, and if you make him in Generation One (AND maybe the proposed Generation Two colors), then most of us here (and elsewhere) will buy them (to own and to sell). And the same is said for whatever else you don't currently have the mold for that we ask for a reissue of.
