Leozack is still on BBTS for $63 + shipping. I'm confused as to why they haven't sold out months ago.

I too am unsure about this set. Unsure if it kicks "a lot of" ass or kicks "some major" ass. I am leaning towards the latter.

How much do they charge for the box set online? Do they charge anymore?

I'm thinking a G2 Motormaster from the Classics OP Voyager mold be pretty sweet attendee exclusive. Or should they just give that mold a rest? Nah...

Also, wasn't there talk of there being a Botcon Skram as a possible repaint of 'Classics' Sideswipe or was that speculation of the blue Bumblebee repaint we saw (which everyone thinks now is Glyph despite the lack of a new head sculpt)?

    I believe it's $295+ship if I'm not mistaken.

If you are unsure whether to buy then wait until all the toys come out and you see the reviews. However, keep in mind that Classics molds have a very high demand so make up your mind soon. Chances are if you decide to like and want a certain toy, there are many other people who are thinking the same thing.

Skybyte, Breakdown and Clench are instant love. Spark has grown on me a lot and Streetstar is meh. So I'm definitely getting the boxset, but as for the attendee exclusives I may just wait.

As for the 09 set, FP made too many of the boxsets and allowed people to buy too many of the convention exclusives, which flooded the secondary market. On Friday morning, Razorclaw/Elita-1 were selling for over $175. By Friday afternoon the price has fallen to just over $100 and by Saturday people could get them for cost. In the end I ended up selling my last set to a buddy for cost. Of the boxsets, very few were on ebay that weekend and those that were barely sold for cost.

Breakdown is the only one I want but with the current money situation and a possible baby on board, I probally will never get it.

Or when it is real cheap 20 years later maybe just maybe.

yeah, forgot to mention the junkion... i've found some killer deals on botcon toys there... and toys in general... :thumb

i'm just about the same, except Clench would move up to a VERY YES as well... cuz i love that mold, and that head sculpt is SWEET

yeah, Leozack is funny... i got mine for 50 shipped a few months after botcon... most people seem to love him, but he's still going for cheap...

i doubt Motormaster would happen, since they're used that mold before...

and IIRC from years past, if you order the non attending set before botcon, shipping is free...

yeah, i got my 09 box set for just under cost... another killer deal for me...

I think we're going to start to see diminishing returns on Botcon toys as we get more and more and more of them. We have Resources entries for 132 Club/Con exclusives as of today. That's a lot of damn toys.

At the current rate, we'll probably know everything about this year's BotCon before a single person has actually registered. :D

That's a good point you bring up. They may eventually have to cut back (e.g., fewer toys per package) or maybe do more extensive retooling to keep collectors interested.

For that guy? Yeah, it was.
