Found this new project about a total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2K4 in the works. Looks pretty interesting so far. Some of the model in the works are Galvatron's ship, Optimus Prime, Sideswipe, and Bumblebee. Check it out:

Does the Unreal engine provide a realtime smoothing? because some of those models would have a hell of a polycount otherwise.

I've always had a soft spot for TF models in Unreal Torney, good on e'm I say, hope it pans out for them

By shittiest you mean bestest, right?

Looks pretty coo' although these projects rarely make it to a finished product.

UT2K4 is a great game. The vehicles are fantastic! Not to mention so many mods/muts out there for it that the game rarely gets boring! I too hope the project keeps going forward. There's another add-on called Robostrom for it that has the player has the UT vehicles that transform. It's really sweet, check it out here:

    Plays really nice too.

This reminds me of the old unfinished TF Quake II Mod from a few years back

Those models are pretty rough (but I would like to say they are much better than I'll ever be able to do but they need some polish) and I gave up on UT2K4 long ago since it doesn't much have a coherent direction.
I always liked this model for UT2K3 -

Reminds me of the Battlefield 1942 TF mod. They released a quick release (even though it had to have been 1.5 years since the mod was announced) where the alt modes were all just the basic BF42 vehicles. It wasn't what I expected since they couldn't get a way to transform so the infantry were just TF models and you could "launch/drop" the vehicle you were supposed to transform into and get in it.
