I find it amusing as all heck when some fans feel the need to bash another line while upholding another line as the greatest TF line to ever happen. Which ties into my unpopular opinion of the day... which lines you gravitate towards and which lines you think are best are solely based on your personal opinions, taste, and what you're looking to get out of a TF line. AND just because you prefer one line over another doesn't mean that you need to exult it while putting another line down.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily an unpopular opinion, but more like common sense.
Then again, common sense is pretty unpopular for some...

Exactly this. I collect Studio Series and Generations (and from whatever post-G1 cartoons I care about) to build up the universe of the Transformers in an affordable way, whereas any Masterpiece figures I buy are for the sake of having a perfect representation of a character who matters a lot to me.

I like CW and Kreo class of 85 Huffer more than his actual Design.

Smaller scaled Transformers are awesome. I'm not talking the eternally shrinking larger size classes, I'm referring to things like Legion, Scout, Legends and -Masters. These type of Transformers I find time and time again to be massively fun to fiddle around with and are quite space efficient — having great value for their price. Not only that, but looking at the Siege Micromasters the sculpting and paint on them have been getting progressively better. These toys oftentimes have more bang for the buck than the larger toys.

I wish Hasbro would focus their resources on a dedicated Generations line based around these smaller classes — with Deluxe/Warrior being the maximum size class (huge characters excluded and in the "main" line.) This would also have the after effect of giving us toys that better scale with Titan city bots.

Now, I'm not saying do away with the larger size classes — I really enjoy me a nice involved transformation, detailed bot mode and a good weight in my hand. It's just that I think a cheap mini collection would be incredibly badass. Hasbro did something like this with the Prime/DOTM Cyberverse and they were pretty cool.

I second this. We need more Micromasters, now.

If I remember correctly, wasn't Scout Class like a halfway point between what was/is considered Legends Class from the more recent Generations toys and Deluxes?

I believe they were a leftover classification from Cybertron lines, between Deluxe and Mini-cons. The movie lines had them, but I think they were essentially redecoed or repainted stuff from Cybertron lines.

Classics Bumblebee is a PT Cruiser. Obviously stylized for licencing reasons, but unmistakably a PT Cruiser. I disagree with TFWiki's opinions on what type of car he is. There may be some inspiration from those mixed in, but I don't think any of those were the main inspiration. I mean, the toy package even called it a "cruiser".

I see Bumblebee classics deluxe as a mini cooper, but then I am a Brit so massively biased. 920x920.jpg

If anything, he’s based more off of a hatchback Subaru.

The Subaru is a good call, I always got way more of a Toyota Matrix vibe from him, even down to the grill and headlights:

Fascinating that we can all look at him and get four pretty different looking cars from it. I miss that era of CHUG a lot for primarily that reason.

Yeah it's a whistle stop tour snatch and grab of the best bits of the cars that a character could be, and then building a frankenwagon. 10900-oncar-02.jpg
