That's a horrible comparison and you might not agree with popular opinion but you could of said this without insulting everyone who doesn't agree with your opinion. Remember you're in a minority here so you just called a whole lot of people a bunch of whiny two year olds.

And this is exactly why it's a horrible comparison. According to these two posts you made one hell of a increase in cost = a $1 difference in price. Which is it, a $1 difference as you claimed in your original post or a hell of a lot more than that as you're claiming in this post?

So really it's more like someone who wanted a good pair of work boots and got a cheap pair of sandles. I wanted something that would actually protect my feet (something that would actually transform) not something to wear to the beach (something that's more like Legos than Transformers).

Building toys are fine if that's what you're into. You like to dissable and reassemble into something else, that's great for you but that's not a Transformer. Transformers shift their parts around to become something else without comming apart. That's the whole point of the toy is to transform. They are not building toys.

Hot Rod's awesome. Megatron and the other Decepticons tried for years to kill Optimus, and he did it in like ten minutes!

I'm kidding of course. I love both Primes as characters and appreciate Rodimus for being more nuanced.

 

It mildly bugs me how nearly every good G1 Optimus toy has a fake abdomen grill. Hell, even the Siege one- which could have incorporated the grill a lot easier since it is a Cybertronian form- really didn't bother.

This is Unpopular opinions yes but that doesn't mean insult everyone who doesn't agree with your opinion. This thread would of been locked ages ago if everyone did that. You can voice a different opinion without the insults.

 

I have a bunch and I am using all of you as make shift therapists.

- Vehicle modes made with weapons can go F**k themselves.
- I kind of liked Brawn ( only saw bruticus episodes of Season 2) But I despise Gears and Huffer.
-The generation Pipes toy disappoints me more than my son. (don't have kids)
- TR Octane does Not hold together well, unlike the other triple changers.
- Prime is awful and butchers many characters.
- I despise Arcee and many OC characters showing no car parts, thats what makes them transformers.
-My favorite gimmick is Double spies
-I'm very iffy on the Armor gimmick of the leader class, I hated Optimus Prime (not orion just combined mode) And my Hot Rod's cab's head broke off Which pissed me off.
-There needs to be better SGMF Figures, a state side release of Godbomber and an orginal molds of Dreadwind and Blackwing.
-Combiner had amazing heads like Hound, Sunstreaker, Prowl and all of them.
-The Siege Hound's head looks bad.

 

i don't think that's even remotely unpopular. the heads on those aside from Sunstreaker (which i though kinda sucked, the horn things felt weird and off scale) were amazing ~ those had basically no reason to exist, and outside the heads they were mostly ridiculous (since they are mostly straight repaints with new heads that look nothing like the characters aside from those brilliant head sculpts) the ultimate insult was not even bothering to remove the lightbar from Smokescreen. I mean, his deco looked pretty weird on that mold anyways, but leaving the light bar on was full-on minimal effort.

 

He was my favorite, I hate the Sunstreaker heads that horns go far out and the backpack worked out well with the hand fist.

 

The Universe one has my favorite head sculpt, I like the horns more reflective of the G1 toy, always thought the cartoon one looked weird (IMO)

Old and New - Sunstreaker I was looking at some comparison pix, and I THINK what bugged me about the CW one, is because of his horns increasing the width of his head it looks like they had to make his head a little smaller then other CW figures, which (to my eye) gives him a bit of a pinhead look.

Crazy that the CW car mode is actually longer and wider, but the bot mode is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller. (I love the uni Lambo mold and how compactly it folds up)
