As for the issue, all of these KO companies are based in China where the laws are different and theres nothing they can really do about it.

That said, I don’t count 3P as KO or bootleg because those are usually all new figures created from stratch. Yes they may be making money off a design they don’t own, but they did design the figure itself and most of these companies intend their product to be bought by collectors anyways. IE, they aren’t trying to fool consumers.

The only 3P company I have an issue with is Wei Jang, because they usually just make oversized knockoffs and I straight up can’t condone that. However, a lot of their products tend to improve upon the original now. So it’s a weird situation.

 

Bootlegs are the price you pay for moving your manufacturing to China.

Just because it's made by a third party, that doesn't mean it's a "bootleg". Doing so ignores the multiple third parties that still make transformers merchandise while still operating under Hasbro or TakaraTomys license.

 

Yeah. The licensed stuff has trademarks and Hasbro's name on it.

Third party bootlegs are just counterfeit fakes.

While I disagree about bootlegs being shitty, since many are better quality than official stuff, I wish people stopped trying to justify themselves in their own eyes by differentiating between 3p and knockoffs. Both are knockoffs to varying degrees and calling 3p somehow fine, while knockoffs are evil, it's just lying to yourself.

I get the whole idea of updating older figures or figures with major flaws (hell, Classics is the center of my collection) but I still find it ridiculous whenever the new MP figure comes out and people immediately call for another new version because there's something they don't like about it. Like jeez, it's a "Masterpiece" toy. It's only gonna get so good unless they start making them from Jesus' crystallized teardrops.

Fall of Cybertron Soundwave is a perfect fit for a CHUG Voyager Soundwave. I have him alongside Titans Return Megatron, and it works just fine.

I think TR Scourge gets a lot more hate than he deserves. He's average, that's for sure, but everyone always makes him out to be a product of Satan.

they were very good at the years, they were ahead of its time to be honest, they need an uodate? hell yes, somes really need it, others don't need it, but we still need an update of them.

 

I'm actually doing a rewatch of the show right now, and finding I'm enjoying it more than the G1 series. CoTG gets a bad rap. It's actually pretty good.
