Story, yes, toy NEVER! The toy is awesome for a gun.
I felt like IDW gave a decent explanation for his gun mode, that it was part of the infiltration protocol. But as for the G1 cartoon or comics? No. It was one of those "It just IS" things, which just makes no sense.
I think it's okay, but not great. I prefer him with a Cybertronian Jet, or some sort of Cyberronian alt form that allows him to fly.
I wasn't thrilled with how the G1 characters flew, but in my opinion Megatron MUST fly. Afterall that is why a young Orion Pax admired him so much in the G1 series.
I prefer megs not to fly.
In robot mode, agreed. Now, if he has a Cybertronian vehicle like from Prime then I'd be all down for it.
I don't like jet megs either.
Jet dosnt exactly scream "Decepticon leader!"
I love Rescue Bots
That's not unpopular
Have to agree..... tho sadly, the series isn't as popular with the general TF fan base as hoped. It's great for the kiddies tho.
Ok then let me see... Oh yeah
Energon was not bad as Beast Machines
Beast machines was amazing. Best show next to Prime and Armada
Beast Machines is one of the best series we ever got from this franchise.
Which is interesting, given that jets/spaceships/aircraft (as at least one of multiple alt modes) is probably the most common Decepticon Leader alt-mode overall.
I actually like having the 'cons be able to fly. If you wanted to go with a Nova Prime-esque supremacy angle behind the Decepticons' ideology, that be a perfect way for them to convince themselves of their own superiority over the Autobots or other opposition groups on Cybertron.
And also the last time the franchise dared to be bold & different. Everything since has been constant homages & reimaginings of G1.
I tried, but I simply could not get into Beast Machines. That said, I appreciate what it did in terms of bringing some sense of purpose and closure to the overarching G1 storyline - everything that happened seemed to be for the ultimate purpose of bringing about the merging of the technological and organic...though it still twists my brain slightly to think that Cybertron was organic underneath and that no one ever noticed before. EVER.
Shockwave noticed. He put the dinobots to work in a rock quarry deep beneath Cybertron in "Desertion of the Dinobots.".
