When was the last time you saw a microscope with treads?

The microscopes at my school (the big ones atleast) have wheels on them.

One of them has a wide rubber belt underneath to be used on a track (for studying larger things, like paper or documents), but when not in use, it's like a tread almost. I got to use it once, but then someone broke it.

    No.

He does not have six different modes, he has six separate pieces that form him. Duocon has 2 alt modes that combine to form the robot.

Triocon, Quadrocon, Quintocon, Sexocon, Septuplecon, Octocon, and so forth.
Triobot, Quadrobot, Quintobot, Sexobot, Septuplebot, Octobot...

Ah, SPLIT LIP was probably thinking of SixShot. Which is close.

Anyway, Energon Shockblast is sort of, kinda a triple-changer. If you count the fan pistol-mode. Which I do, since all the pieces fit pretty well.

And Cybertron Menasor's a Pretender. Which makes me wonder why I haven't gotten him, yet.

He's a tripple-changer without the fan mode, robot, satellite, and ground based laser tank.

But I'm curious, how is Cybertron Menasor a Pretender? Does his Mini-con wear him as a suit?
EDIT: I just did some research, and he can hold his Mini-con in his chest. I have learned something today.

Menasor is more of a breastmaster.

Tell me this guy from G1 wasn't a Duobot.

I used him as my avatar for a long time and I named him Double Down. He looks like a yellow, flatbed rescue truck combined with some kind of red cross/rescue airplane.

Okay, what episode was that from? I've seen the robot before (probably back when he was your avatar actually!) but I don't remember seeing him on screen.

I prefer to think of him as a Brainmaster, due to the way the Minicon sits in the chest cavity and the way the chest hinges open at the bottom. All that is missing is the elevator that pushes the smaller robot upward to form the face of the combiner.

Now that I think of it, many moden TFs could technically be classed as Turbomasters. All that the Turbomasters had as gimmicks were missile launching guns built into the vehicle mode and light piping. The likes of Cybertron Hot Shot and Excelion are very similar to them, in that respect.
Too bad that the gimmick from around the same time used by the Lightformers, Trakkons and Predators never got reused. Those guys had little sights that showed you targetting sensors like they were locking on to one of the Autobots, and the Lightformers / Trakkons went one further with it, by adding in little transparent slides that simulated gunfire when you pressed the button. That is a gimmick that would work great on a larger toy (Voyager and up) where it could implement properly without needing a huge backpack / accessory.

    E-Shockblast is a triple changer:

Robot, Satellite (sp? morning buzz) and tank/laser platform.
    :lol  Yep! That's a duobot!

I don't remember the episode, but I think it was from the first season.

Heh. You know...I actually forgot about E-Shockblast's satellite mode. I like the tank/death train mode enough that I'm willing to call it good. The satellite mode, while cool, I can't get to display well, and, well...yeah.

    Still, non-advertised "four-changer", that's pretty cool, too.
