Hi all, just need a need to ask for some advice on which would be the better figure to pick up, Universe Superion or Universe Bruticus?

The government of Taiwan gave all citizens and foreign spouses (of which I am one) some money vouchers today, similiar to the stimulus package that the States did not too long ago. I have enough left over after using some of them for necessities that my wife agreed to let me get one combiner set.

So, which would be the better purchase? Superion or Bruticus? I've always been a big fan of Superion, but I really hate the uneven look of his limbs and the lack of anything resembling hands at all. Bruticus, on the other hand (heh) looks really good, but is a character I've never really been bothered about. I've watched a couple reviews on Youtube of them, but it hasn't helped me make up my mind at all.

It's a bit of a tough choice for me, as I like both of the figures, Superion for the sentimental value, Bruticus for the display value (and adding to the ranks of my woefully outnumber Classicsverse Decepticons). Or should I say to hell with either of them and get the Springer/Ratbat two pack or Blades and Onslaught?

Thanks for any and all opinions/input. Normally I'd say the hell with it and get both, but a) I'm lacking in display space at the moment and b) I don't want to spend too much, what with the economy the way it is and all. Fortunately, thanks to the vouchers, a sale at Toy's R Us and some coupons I have for Toy's R Us, I can get either a combiner, the Springer/Ratbat two-pack or Blades and Onslaught for roughly the same price.

Bruticus is better than Superion. The individual toys are nicer and Superion has an annoying issue with keeping the combined mode chest pegged in.

I'd say Bruticus. Cooler overall and you can get him some elbows if you put the tanks on the arms.

As much as I love the smaller jets that form two of Superion's limbs, I have to say Bruticus. Superion has some serious issues in combined mode, both from an aesthetic and structural standpoint. Bruticus, on the other hand, is nice and solid. Plus the little tank guys are really nice figures in their own right.

    Ebay:
I'll have to say NEITHER. The particular brand of design in combiner they've chosen to grab, nameslap, repaint and package as homages is subpar all around. Save the cash, send the message, wait for better. ;)

I know, no impact on folks decision anyway, but it still feels good to say it. :)

Neither, because their paint jobs suck.

But if you can find the Energon versions, Bruticus.

I would say neither, but if I had to choose one it would be Superion

I prefer Bruticus mold any day of the week. I also have the Superlink vertion, which look cooler for me!

I'd say Superion because its fanmode looks better. But I definitely understand the issue with lacking Decepticons.

I've seen that fanmode pic before and it makes me almost want to buy him, just wish the two leg jets had different paint schemes. It really brings the best out of that figure.

The two A-10s are supposed to have different schemes, if I'm not mistaken. Because I have that one, I just never got the other one (or the red arm or Storm Jet :x).

Superion has a godawful paint job.

Bruticus is well painted, the individual toys are great and his gestalt mode is sturdy and highly posable, hell, I could get him in a running pose on one leg!
