    Hey all,

This is my first time posting any of my custom work here in Radicons, mainly because it's not all that often that I actually complete a project (but it's not all bad, I see I am not the only one that suffers from this).

Anyway here is my take on Universe Skyjack, made from a re-painted Silverbolt. I decided to paint my own one mainly because I couldn't find a reasonably priced official release, and that to me was a good excuse to break out the paints. I have been working on and off (mostly off) of this since I purchased the Upgrade kit from Venksta in August.

There are some rubbing issues and the masking could be better but overall I am happy with it, and I have decided that I never want to take this mold apart again cause it is a right pain to put back together.

Hope you enjoy and any C&C is welcomed.

Updated Image. Added G2 Decepticon badges from Reprolables as a finishing touch, 1 on bot mode, 2 on plane mode.

Real nice clean paint apps... Like the black you used, not to over the top or dull...

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you liked him.

Yeah the head and guns are from the Renderform kit, that's what actually interested me in this figure, wasn't too fond of the Silverbolt colours.

The black paint is a spraycan flat matt finish made by Plasti-Kote, then clear cotated in high gloss spray made by Rust-oleum.

    Cheers.

Thanks Venksta, I appreciate the kind words. Your upgrade set really motivated me to get him finished this week, I refused to even test fit it until he was done!

Updated the first post with a new bot mode pic to show off the finishing touch.

Beautifully done - I wouldn't have been able to tell you it was a repaint. The symmetrical flame design on the wings is a really nice touch. :)

Thanks for all the positive comments, I was surprised to see this thread bumped back to the first page. Glad you guys like him.

Thanks, they were a right pain to do. The hardest part was trying to line them up so that they were at the same angle to each other.

Just looked that up and there is a slight simialrity there.

I can relate to not wanting to test fit upgrades until the paint job is finished. It definitely makes a great incentive to pull through and get it done.

Nice work on this. It makes me want to give this a shot ;)
