Universe Silverstreak's head/hood falls off. QC issue?

I searched the forums and Google, but can't seem to find anyone else with this problem. I've had two Universe Silverstreaks now and both have the same problem. When I flip the front of the hood out to reveal the head the whole piece just falls off. This doesn't happen with Prowl, or when I put that same piece from Prowl on the Silverstreak body.
Does this happen to anyone else or did I just happen to get two crappy Silverstreaks? Any fixes for it if it is a common problem?

That is a new one since I have not heard about his one. I have 2 Universe Silverstreak figures and none of them have that QC issue. But I tried to pop one off of either Prowl or Silverstreak, they are both solid and I would have to force the piece off.

Mine either. Are you talking about the part of the hood that is attached to the head? The part that is on a pin? I just popped mine off Prowl the other day, didn't even know that it came off

That's a first I've heard. My Silverbolt's head is quite solid.

Yeah it's the center section of the hood the head is attached to. It folds out on that pin that is at bumper level. Prowl's has no problem holding tight. His can be popped off with a bit of pressure, but Silverstreak's just falls off with no force applied at all. I can't tell if the C shaped part that grips the pin is different than Prowl's, but that is the only thing I can figure since Prowl's will snap onto SS's and hold tight.
I guess I may have return my second one and go buy him somewhere else in hopes that store has a new batch.
Thanks for the quick response guys.

Happens with mine, too. You're not alone.

The grill "T" on Ironhide pops off, too.

Prowl/Bluestreak's doors popping off are fine. Sometimes I can't TF them unless I do it.

These pieces, that hook over pins? Yeah, not cool. :redface2:

Well I have Prowl and his head's fine. Don't know if they did a slightly diffrent mold on Sillverstreak/Bluestreak's head though when they were doing the repaint.

I've got both Prowl and Bluestreak, didn't have anything close to this problem nor did I have the "sticky paint" thing everyone else complains about.

Still have to pick up a second Streak for bashing, but I'm pulling the head off that anyway.

    :confused2

    Now I feel stupid.

Anyway, my Silverstreak's head is perfectly fine as well. The doors do pop off but I personally don't care about that since it rather makes it easier to transform.

Well, when I was transforming uni. Prowl for the first time, that piece of hood that holds his head did detach from the body, but I imediately put it back and applied some pressure until it clicked (WARNING - that doesn't mean you have to press on it like an elephant, it's plastic, it can break). The damn thing hasn't detached after that at all.

Mine too. And just like you my Prowl is fine, but Streaks pops off every time when transforming.

As far as a fix? I haven't really set out to find a solution because once I have his body transfromed I simply pop the head piece back on the rod and bam! it's good to go. If it didn't snap back on I'd have a bigger beef, but it does, so I'm not too worried... Kinda like Galvatron's arms. They ALWAYS pop off when transforming... but they go back on, so no biggie (for me).

I think he's talking about the whole neck piece assembly. Yeah mine does that too. Good thing I don't tinker around him with Silverstreak all that much.

Mine does that too, I'm 99% sure I mentioned it in the Feedback thread. It seems like there's a piece missing that's on Prowl that keeps the neckpiece on.
