Got my package from TRU today. awesome figures and i was fiddling with them all night. Totally worths the price tag. Now I finally have sticker-unapplied insecticons. Now all I need is lots and lots of energon cubes.

btw, on my invoice insecticons was spelled as "Insections".......

How was the packing, I plan on keeping a set MISB, and fear that the postman may kick it around a few times. If there is a good chance they will arrive dented, I may be running to my local TRU tomorrow morning when their shipment arrives.

Mine arrived in pristine condition. The corners are sharp and there is no dent.

I read about the horror experience other members had with TRU shipping but i think TRU will has outdone themselves this time. They use UPS so i guess that will be a plus.

Edit : here are some pics.

I just picked these guys up at the store too! How come they changed Bombshell's name to "Hardshell" and Shrapnel's name to "Sharpshot"? And why is Perceptor's bio so disjointed?

Congratz, I'm still searching for these the old school ways as I missed the TRU.com. I thought TRU had always used UPS as their shipment carriers?

There are a ton of these sitting at my local TRU. I already have both of the TFC reissues from a few years back, but if the Insecticons go on sale I may pick up a box or two for army building.

    I picked mine up in-store Wednesday. ;)
Licensing. Hasbro doesn't own those names.

Can't tell you about Perceptor though, I didn't pick it up.

    a

I want them, but the way I have gotten most of my re-issues except the TRU Soundwave, which mine has floppy legs, was by getting them on sales or crazy clearance whne there was one left.

I got Silverstreak, Red Alert, and Ricochet this way.

Is perceptor or the Insecticons flooppy?

A couple of my cars have floppy joints too.

I finally found a Perceptor at a TRU today, though I missed the Insecticon by minutes (saw someone buying it at the cashiers as I walked in). I'm kinda disappointed to find out that the stickers are alrdy preapplied, otherwise it's a pretty decent reissue.

Man, don't you hate that feeling? You walk in the door and recognize the box, then your heart skips a beat as you dash to the back hoping to find another box.

Is there a pictorial review for the Insecticons?
I wanna pick them up and my brother wants Perceptor.

Also does the reissue Perceptor still have the magnifying glass in the scope like the G1?

Yes, but at least I got something this time instead of going home empty-handed. :p

The reissue Perceptor still had the magnifying glass in the scope.

I've heard Bombshell and Shrapnel are a bit too evocative in these times of war and terrorism. Similar to the recent Skyjack homage renaming to Skyfall. This is all speculation of course, but I buy it.

Kusanagi stated before that it is due to licensing (which makes sense) but you're idea was actually my first thought as to why they would change the name. So let's say it is the combination of the two reasons (though probably more because Hasbro doesn't want to get sued.)

I got mine in the mail yesterday also. the boxes were packed just like the pictures in this discussion. Both boxes were in perfect condition. I also have a question about the insecticons. I forgot about the clear yellow plastic pieces on each figure that open and seem to be a compartment of some sort. Does anyone know the original reasoning for these compartments that each insection has?

In the Takara reissues, those compartments was also shown to store 1 energon cubes that the reissue came with.
