Hopefully Ravage is just the first of several new tapes and a new Soundwave.

 

I'm crossing my fingers for this as well. Soundwave needs a Classics/Universe form. The TRU release was more or a reissue than a true "classics" version.

 

New tapes for G1 Soundwave = the coolest thing EVER.

A new Soundwave would be nice, but I would be MORE than happy with just some updated tapes that fit in him.

 

Ravage. WOW. That's all I got. Great update.

 

These are Sweet. Like already mentioned by several members, the green on Hound needs to be darkened but that can be fixed with some paint, which is not a problem. I will definitely try both guns (G1 and Alt/BT) on this version of Hound.

 

my god! i didnt know Ravage could transform. O_O both are great toys.

 

Ravage is so yummy, but hound's bot mode is so mistransformed. I'm guessing he's going to have some complicatedness to him.

I wonder how the masterchief real gear would look in the back seat.

Your right about the Halo look...wonder if it was intentional...but with a little modding that and the color can be fixed...

He's going to need some silver/chrome for sure...

 

I'm sure the design was some kind of nod to the Halo thing, there isn't a real jeep on the market now with that look is there?

 

Hound will be mine. Face looks better there after that last official shot made him look rather doughy.

 

I daresay this will be my favorite Universe release next year, though Cyclonus could easily take that as well. SO freaking amazing.

I'm really confused how Hasbro "messed up the colors"....

Hasbro could easily repaint it into swindle like they did for the alternators line.
If they did that. Maybe they could give us another cassette or repaint ravage into... weird wolf? I'm sure they'll come up with something better. But a swindle repaint or rollbar could come from this figure.

 

I think this is my most anticipated Universe set.

 

That was my first reaction to seeing this as well, but ya not feeling Hound, mold looks like it comes close but short and combined with that shade of green and no gun is rather disappointing. Ravage looks good though and if he does indeed fit inside Soundwave and has compatible missiles as I suspect he does I will definitely be picking this up for him if anything else.

I'm glad Hound's face doesn't look as weird as it did in the pics we got a couple days ago. He looks a lot better here.

And Ravage kinda looks like an itty bitty Alt Jaguar Ravage in robot mode.

Or they could go with Detritus and Howlback.

These guys are really nice! Classics 2.0/Universe is MUCH better then the OLD universe repaint ridden line of the past. This is how I always though Universe should be.

 

Great figure, but I really don't like that green color they've used... It should be darker.
