Finished. He is black with a couple shades of very light green. Some pics don't show it very well.

I've always liked that head sculpt and it looks really good on Silverbolt's body. Good luck with your project!

I like the idea, and it's something I've been thinking about for a while now. Started a digibash, but never did get anywhere with it. Seeing Jetfire's head on there is beginning to make me think that I should have gone with that mold instead of Evac/Blades for my Raven-XL7 kitbash.

Hah, had actually been thinking about this idea as well. Dye didn't take? odd, how long did you dye it and did you dye hot or cold? with or without acetone?

I did the dye with hot (not boiling) water. I added about a half cup of acetone at first, but as I asked around, I added about 16 ounces total. Basically what was left in the bottle. After the third day, I took him out and he had really only grayed a bit. I acknowledge that I probably made a mistake, probably in prepping the figure, not removing the mold release. Anyway, the arms were black, but the main jet part had very little darkening. I tossed the soft nose cone in for about an hour and it took a nice green/gray color.

Nice... I really like this head on this mold. Good job, though unfortunately, I doubt we'll get a Movie Jetfire that looks this nice. :)
