I just got him in. I want to open him yet I am still on the fence. If I decide to open, do any of ye have any feedback on which side is the best to break the seal? This is my first Universe Voyager and with my Nemesis Prime on the way I do not want to damage the box on either.
just tear it open! but really, just open it... back when i saved packaging, i'd use a razor to cut the tape on whichever side would be easiest to get it out. luckily, i'm finally over the habit of saving every scrap of cardboard, it just took up way too much space... now i only save botcon boxes and other things that are favorite characters... everything else gets recycled...
I find it's easier to open the side with the top corner knocked off and not the side with the 'bite' out of it. But do open him. Mine has slightly floppy legs but otherwise he's golden.
you know, my birthday is tomorrow, and i'm probably gonna get a new toy... i should totally record me opening something in that style...
I can't remember what his TFW name is, but some guy from Turkey (I think Turkey) did exactly that not too long ago. He had a thread on here with a link to him opening everything. I forget what it was, but something current (RoTF or Animated Deluxe) that us in the US take for granted. I actually felt excited watching this guy open his new stuff and seeing how excited he was about it.
I opened an AFA Squalktalk/Beastbox a couple of years ago. Got them for regular MOSC price, was quite fun. Didn't think to video them at the time though!
One of my favorite molds from the line. Just crack him open and maybe save the back of the box for his description.
