After looking at Razerwire's thread on Pat Lee, Something occurred to me.

I recall seeing an add on set for Universe Inferno that included an extension ladder for his firetruck mode and maybe a couple of other accessories.

Does this set even exist or am I just dreaming? If it does exist, was it ever released and is it still available?

I believe it's a 'Gears of War' set. I have it but cannot remember what company made it. It comes with 3 shoulder launchers and Auto-scout as well.

 

Yep.

The shoulder rockets fit poorly on sideswipe/mirage/red alert.
The hand rocket for inferno is poorly implemented.
Only the ladder fits properly.

Don't waste your money

 

I picked it up on clearance at BBTS a few weeks ago but they're all gone now.

 

i have the set, with none of the problems diablo mentioned, the shoulder rockets fit nice and tight, the arm gun for inferno slides nicely over his hand, and the ladder fits nice too, plus the autoscout cassette comes with it as well

 

Yeah picked it up as well, there were no issues.

 

For those interested in getting a shoulder launcher for their Universe/Henkei Sideswipe, I suggest buying an original G1 Sideswipe launcher. It only needs to have the front clip intact, add some clear tape to it broaden it's diameter a bit, and it will fit inside the holes Uni.SS has in his shoulders. I did that to mine. Looks great.

 

This for me as well. Everything fits great and looks amazing.

 

Damn looks like I just got a crappy version.

Nice to hear not everyone had the QC issues that I experienced - unfortunately for me the rockets just won't stay in the shoulder holes, and inferno's wrist rocket only slides on about 75% of the way.

Oh well, its the only toy/set that I've purchased in the past five years that has had quality issues, so I guess I've got not too much to complain about - go third party companies!!!

 

Is there a KO set of these out there? I only ask this because a seller on eBay states that it is an original and not a KO.

 

For the ladder accessory, does it just snap on?

 

In vehicle mode, it uses the plug that holds the original gun turret.

In robot mode, it slides onto the arm panel

 

Anybody have a link or picture of this? Sounds interesting.

You must have gotten a bum set. Mine is just fine, the only launcher connection that is poorly designed IMO is the slot to connect to Mirage. Everything else is just fine inthe GoW set I have.

 

I made my own back mounted ladder.

 

Mine is fine too.

I also picked up the G3 Trailer which comes with some great add on weapons as well.
