Well, decided to do my own version of Grapple.

Initially, I was planning on using the Movie 1 Mudflap for this custom. I mean, the figure was shelfwarming like crazy and readily available at TRU. However, after, many frustrating incidents of trying to remove the arm kibble, and then trying to customize those arm pieces, I decided to say "screw it, I'm just going to repaint Universe Inferno and use Mudflap's crane". I mean, why should I go about trying to kitbash the mediocre at best Mudflap mold when I could just repaint the many times more superior Inferno mold?

So, here he is. Still a rough repaint; I'll try to add a few more polishing coats later. I'm also not entirely certain how I should attach the crane to his back when he's in robot mode (for the time being, I just inserted his back kibble into one of the crane's slots).

Wow he turned out pretty well!
Last night, I was playing around putting that reprolabel upgrade set to my transformers (including inferno) and started pondering how to turn Inferno into grapple..
Well.. Then I log in here this morning and see this..

    Question answered.. :)

The only thing that jumped to my mind, have you thought about changing the head at all?
I only ask because the inferno head makes me think "orange inferno" in that one pic (where he's holding the water gun).
Actually.. maybe all it needs is some paint to the eyes to change the eye color and such.. I think grapple had yellow eyes

    Good job.

I'd suggest painting over the crane cockpit, as it's too small compared to the front of the truck.

Would it be workable to just attach the crane to his arm when in robot mode?

Really? I've found Inferno in stores on a few occasions out here.

Yeah, I'll get to painting him some more when I have the free time to do so.

Just checked but actually, Inferno and Grapple's heads are 100% indentical on their original toys: they both had yellow eyes. As for the cartoon, they both had blue eyes.

Already appeared in the latest chapter.

Yeah, painting over that cockpit is something I should maybe do. And yes, it is workable to just attach the crane to the arm. I just don't necessarily like how it looks then.

    Thanks for commenting everyone.
