basically I repainted Cyclonus & Nightstick to closer resemble his
their G1 cartoon selves, but I didn't get 100% I wanted all the greys to
be silver and the dark purple to be light. so even though his wings and
feet are colored in the cartoon I basically stuck with a similar color scheme
as the Universe toy but closer to the Henkei & toon.

That is awesome! Nice combination of toon, Universe, and Henkei.

    Nice paint aps, very cool!

How did you get the detailing on the panel lines to stick out like that? It's subtle, but visible...

I just painted the grey panels flat black then drybrushed the silver
on in about 3 or 4 coats semi lightly with a thick, #6 brush dragging
    it lightly across the surfaces.

Then for the colored areas the purple was dark enough
to brush on the lighter shade without painting black,
then I just drybrushed in a swirl motion with an old Testors brush
with soft bristles that I cut short and it paints like that without
filling in the lines. Then I lightly brushed silver over the purple to
give it that old metal look.

Thanks for the reply! I'm always interested in learning different painting techniques. You did an amazing job.

When I finally get my hands on a cyclonus I plan on customizing him. Maybe not quite this much as my painting skills need serious practice first. I do hope to someday be able to do repaints and my own customs of this calibre.
