Walked into Wal*Mart the other day and thought I got the score of, well maybe not a lifetime but at least the month. I was able to snag Universe Galvatron, Acid Storm, and Animated Soundwave, w00t w00t right? Good score I'm thinking, even passed on Cobra BATs & Snow Serpents to get em. I'm happy the whole way home, and the 1/2 hour drive was killing me not being able to open them. I finally get to the house, open them up, and THEY.ARE.COMPLETE.CRAP!

Galvatron is an awesome mold with a great transformation, but the cheap plastic that they're using now ain't worth a crap. His legs keep falling off... at the knees AND the hips, I'm afraid to touch him every time I do he falls apart. He's an effing parts-former!

I thought Acid Storm would be cool because he was just a repaint of Classics Starscream, but again they used that cheap rubbery plastic on him and his nosecone won't stay snapped into place in jet mode. grrrrr

Soundwave however is totally awesome, so it wasn't all bad. I still like the way the other 2 look but it upsets me that they have such QC issues.

Ya I keep hearing that about Galvatron particularly, seems everything I hear about him is that despite looking good he's a big floppy mess.

Can't speak to Acid Storm, but my Galvatron is pretty sturdy. I've only popped things off when *I* did something wrong. Sucks though, no one wants to open up a figure and have it fall apart.

You guys are lucky. The Walmart around my area seems to have stopped carrying TF figures in favor of SW figures from the new Clone Wars movie. :(

People we get it hasbro did a crapy job with quality control. thats why you look at the firgure before you buy him. Always check it. When i didn't check i got stuck with a bad prowl but that was my fault because i forgot to check the paint aps. And you can see if the plastic is good by looking too.

My local Wal-Mart actually stocked up on TFTM Deluxes this week! :(

I've been hearing a lot of issues with TFU QC, but I haven't had any major issues with my purchases. My Onslaught has the leg problem that just about everyone's had, but he displays fine. My Sunstreaker's chest plate didn't line up properly, but I just turned everything backwards and use the front of the car as his chest plate instead.

The Galvatron thing does seem concerning, but I'm not going to let that stop me from buying him! I'm probably going to pick up multiples when I see him in the store. Overall, I personally don't see this line as being worse than any in the past.

It definitely sucks that you had all those problems, though! :(

I have bought every Universe toy except Blaster so far and have problems with NONE of them. My Galvatron and Acid Storm are both fine.

Yeah I got Galvatron today too. Mine has the leg issue at the knee too. Its more of a design flaw then the plastic though. It's just a pressure fitted knob, like the ones used in the titanium series. Overall I'm still happy with him. As for Acid Storm I haven't opened him yet but rubber plastic should be a good thing for the mold, due to the tail-fin issue.

I do wish people would stop assuming that their experience is the only one possible. Ok, your toys sucked. Doesn't mean they all do.

Well the knee issue is gong to be a common problem cause like I said it's a design flaw.

I think it's more a reference to how many of these "Insert Brand Here QC Issues" threads have been appearing recently...
