I thought we got news a while back saying wave 1 in June...

 

That isn't how Waves work. Generally, a figure or 2 from the previous wave will carry over into the shipment of the next Wave. So, Wave 2 will contain Megatron and Darkmount, and probably like, Drift and Bumblebee, or something. Wave 3 will omit all of Wave 1, continue with Megatron and Darkmount, and add Red Alert and Soundwave to the mix.

 

BBTS has the first 3 Generation waves listed. Hasbro usually goes 4 new figures or 2 new figures + 2 previous wave figures for a wave.

Wave 1: WFC Prime, WFC Bumblebee, Drift, Thrust

Wave 2: WFC Prime, WFC Bumblebee, WFC Megs, Darkmount

Wave 3: WFC Megs, WFC Soundwave, Darkmount, Red Alert

 

Hmm. You learn something new everyday.

 

Well I've seen a case breakdowns to make some predictions. Deluxes always come in a case of 8.

A Generations wave 1 case will be 2x WFC Optimus, 2x WFC Bumble Bee, 2x Drift, and 2x Thrust. And if Hasbro is really going to push WFC toys revision with 3x Optimus and 3x Bumble Bee, with 1 Drift and 1 Thrust.

A Generations wave 2 case will be 1x of every wave 1 figure. With 2x WFC Megatron and 2x Dark Mount.

From the BBTS listing a Generations wave 3 case will be 2x WFC Megatron, 2x Dark Mount, 2x WFC Soundwave, and 2x Red Alert.

 

Are we using the right terms. Doesn't Hasbro usually release in waves/revisions.

 

God...I hope not. I personally consider the Classics/Universe toys to be the last great examples of TF toymakeing since G1. No offence to any who enjoy the other stuff. I just feel that the plastics are cheaper, the craftmanship is sloppier, and the designs are rediculious most of the time nowadays. Just my opinion. Anyhow...thx for all the info fellas.

 

Pretty sure the plastics used in Classics aren't different from any other Transformers plastics. And the last time they tried to use die-cast was a disaster...

 

I dont know man. To me, if you compare certain TFs like the Universe Cyclonus (for example), with some Beast Machines, ROTF ,ect. stuff...it dont match....again omo. As far as Die-cast goes, Hey I loved the Titanium line. Titanium Rodimus was the bomb.

LOL Henkei version of what mold? That mold is entirely new as Drift.

 

I think it was a typo. I'm pretty sure he meant to put "henkei version of the mold" after Thrust, not Drift.

 

Oh yeah, that makes sense.

 

I cant wait for this line to come out I pre-ordered alot all I could find of if the other nite on BBTS>

I only see wave 1 available for pre-order on BBTS unless you've seen them elsewhere. I'm sure that he will be available in both the whole wave and individually. Almost every figure they [BBTS] sells is set up that way.

 

40? For the lot or individually? I pre-ordered my wave 1 just because Drift was sold out individually. Can't wait for that WFC Soundwave, gonna have to pass on the Megatron though, just not a fan of that mold from what I've seen.
