What's the general opinion on this mold?

I got him yesturday thanks to the 10 dollar voyager sale and...I dunno, I think he looks fine in both modes but...I dunno I just don't like the guy.

Maybe it's because I opened Samurai Prowl first, so that set the bar a little higher LOL.

I have the original Cybertron Soundwave and I like it well enough. This didn't work for me as Blaster though, so I never bought it.

I prefer Cybertron Soundwave. That mold doesn't suit blaster in the least.

Just like everyelse, the mold works good on Soundwave but not Blaster.
I think it's becasue the mold look menceing, like a Decepicon. But $10, is a good deal my friend!!

I like the mold ever since it was used on Soundwave, and got this during the TRU sale.

IMO it was one of the weaker Cybertron toys.

Passed on him in the beginning. During the $10 Voyager sale I passed on him again. As far as a place amongst my Universe figs, for Soundwave I've got the TRU (double deck chest) re-issue and/or MP3 SW (well, Soundblaster anyways).

No need for the mold, Cybertron SW or Univ Blaster. But hey, that's my opinion. Holding out for a proper Blaster update...that's not device label

I like it. But I can see why other people don't.

The molds "OK". It can be frustrating to transform. Where did you buy it yesterday for $10?

I'm going to assume that he's in Canada, where Wal-Mart recently put out huge palette displays of clearanced Universe Voyagers.

I echo the general sentiment that this mold is good as Soundwave (he's my Classics Soundwave until a proper version gets released), but doesn't do anything to really scream "Blaster". But I like the mold itself well enough.

I bought the Soundwave version back in the Cybertron days... and was pretty meh on the figure then. Nothing has changed my mind to make it any better now.

The mold is very close to being very awesome, but kibble, awkward transformation steps, difficulty pegging together perfectly, ratcheting joints with too few ratchets, and difficulty in securing the bomb/gun pods under the wings add up to me not liking the mold very much at all.

ML Soundwave is my "Classics" Soundwave and DL Blaster will be my "Classics" Blaster

Bought him and was pleasantly suprised at how well he actually worked as Blaster when I had him in hand.

But with Device Label Blaster coming out I sold Universe. (But I kept Blockrock)

    Yup

I'd be in Canada, I got Inferno and Vector Prime for 10 dollars as well.

Canada, where we can have awesome sales and deals but crappy weather

The colors and the mold don't match for Universe Blaster
