Hey all. Came up with this idea earlier today, and decided to do a couple of digibashes for it. I'm thinking about doing this eventually with a Un. Springer. I'll be using a Un. Blades for another kitbash I have planned. When/If I do this, I'll replace the rescue hook with some sort of gun, and put an actual Decepticon logo on him. Decided just to do the colors on these one's. What do you guys think?

I'm also thinking about modding the head, though I'm not exactly sure what all I would do with it.

Like Mastergeorge has pointed out, this is a homage to Movie Blackout. That and the Universe repaint of the Energon copter mold is Vortex. I also don't see how Hasbro's two repaints should have any affect on this. Personally if I do this, I'll only be owning two copies of the mold, and both would be kitbashes.

Yep, and thanks. I've actually got another kitbash idea using the Movie Blackout mold, though that'll be another thread.

I'd change the head to something else (not sure what, but I would) just to change up the mold and get a more villainous look - but this is a great idea. I just got the Springer 2-pack the other day and I love this mold, one of the best TF's of all time (on a list that would be about 200 figures long, of course ;)  )!

Because I'm making a Classics/Universe styled Blackout, and already have the Movie Blackout mold (first release of it).

Thanks. These digibashes were meant to just get the color scheme setteled. I'm planning on at least modding the head, if not replacing it.

If you could make a few retoolings like making the rotor blade thing removeable and if it could go on the back, that would make it spot on Blackout/Vortex.

No problem. When I make this guy I'll be displaying him with my Classics Decepticons. He'll probably look like Vortex's father, as I'll also have the Bruticus Maximus gestalt repaint on the same shelf once I get the set.

That's one mod I'm considering. I'm pretty sure I've seen at least one kitbasher do that with this mold. Will have to look it up again and see how they did it. I'll probably redo these digibashes here in a little bit. Basically adding on some mods to him, and patch up a little bit of coloring I missed on him (need something to do while watching the HP movies).

Update: Added a new bot-mode digibash. Still have some work to do on the head, the gun (which is just a placeholder atm), and some more color details, though this one's closer than the first one. Not much I can add to the alt-mode digibash, so I probably won't update that one.

I think Viagra Prime did something similar to that.

Do you mean he's done a Classics styled Blackout? or do you mean the mod to put the copter blades onto the back? I know someone's done the mod, but I can't remember who, and I can't remember anybody making a Classics styled Blackout (though it wouldn't surprise me if at least one person has already done it).
