http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=42307 Even though the article doesn't say, the fourth one will probably be called "The Bourne Legacy" since that's the next book in the series. Should be good with both Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass returning. There's also some other stuff mentioned in the article.
I thought they had wrapped up the Bourne trilogy nice with Ultimatum. Sigh, by the end of that movie, I was feeling as world weary and beaten as Jason Bourne was.
Not that I wouldn't mind another Bourne movie cause they rock, Ultimatum ended the trilogy perfectly. Hopefully, the fourth installment will have even more Julia in it.
Ultimatum bored me to tears, but i'd probably watch another if they actually get an interesting plot this time round.
Cool, now I just need to catch up and see the third one, and the second one....yeah and the first one. I hear they're pretty good but I've never been motivated enough to bother with Bourne.
That and the fact that each movie has made progressively more than the last. Ultimatum had a perfect ending to a near-perfect trilogy largely due to its open-endedness. 'The Bourne Redundancy' could potentially cheapen that...but I don't think that'll happen. Greengrass and Damon are so friggin' good at what they do that actually seeing where the character goes from here is liable to be just as enjoyable as anything left to the imagination after #3.
Followed by The Bourne Evasion, where he travels across multiple countries under false identities to escape the tax authorities chasing him for his movie earnings.
Then they could round out that trilogy with The Bourne Audit, where the first half of the movie consists of him being interrogated at IRS headquarters and he has to fight his way out in the second half, leaving a trail of dead auditors in his wake...at least one of which Bourne will kill with a mere pencil.
